I’ve had more than my fair share of scans and they clearly let you know ahead of time to avoid wearing anything metal. I have never been let anywhere near a machine without being told to remove everything beforehand. I can’t imagine even the dumbest technician would let anyone near it with a ridiculous 20 lb chain. If they did then yea they should be held accountable in some way. If the person took it upon themselves to just go wherever on their own then that’s on them.

yeah, been MRI'd once, and I remember them asking all sorts of questions. braces are apparently fine.
