the only violence we had our school was one incident between a black guy and a white guy.Yeah, this school shooting thing is for wusses. We settled things the proper way in my day. What we now rightfully label as bullying was just a part of life at school then. One guy I knew that had LMS said something to a really big black girl she didn't appreciate. She chased him aroud the parking lot literally with a desk over her head to throw at him.
Now those old fashioned school butter rolls you got with your spaghetti were a different matter. If you sat down and didn't pick it up and let everyone see you lick it, it got stolen. Did see one person get stabeed in the stomach with a case pocket knife for trying to lift someone's roll. That was the only real violence I recall other than fights to jockey for position. It was the late 70's/early 80's in middle GA afterall. Though racial tension seemed long gone in my class at the time. Unless I was too naive to see it. I grew up in a mixed church, so getting along was normal to me.
white guy just ran his mouth to piss off anyone that was around him. he seemed to do it so he could get out of class. one day he is running his mouth to the black guy sitting in front of him. says bunch of hateful stuff, including some racist bs. black guy ends up punching him in the face while both were seated and teachers back was turned. white guy ends up on the floor with a bloody nose and a broken orbital bone, teacher turns around with the commotion, sees the bloody white guy, and the angry black guy who is sitting in front of him, but now looking at the board. teacher asked what happened. not a single person said anything. not because we were afraid of the black guy, but because the white guy had it coming and no one liked him.
