Word is that Karrion Kross & Scarlett's contracts expire this weekend. They supposedly have had no discussions about renewing. What if they showed up on Dynamite Wednesday???

Seems unlikely. WWE was pushing his book on the Summer Slam preshow, he had a match there, and he just got new shirts like a month ago. I saw some footage showing where he broke character at the ppv and was slapping hands. Some guessed that was him saying goodbye. But I'm guessing it's a work, and he's due for a repackage, or they're pulling some kind of swerve.

Kross/Scarlett also have heat with TNA and allegedly Don Callis. So they may have limited landing spots outside WWE.

There was definitely heat with TNA over contracts and the AAA thing for sure happened.

The rumor part was a TNA exec "harassed" Scarlett, and the name that got thrown around was Callis. It's all dirt sheet/message board fodder. So it may be total BS. But the idea was Kross wouldn't be willing to work with Callis, more than him keeping Kross out of AEW. There was some speculation that was part of why he didn't sign with either the first time he got released. Don was still involved in both companies at the time and Kross ended up getting involved in "Control Your Narrative" and some limited indie stuff.

ESPN's streaming service is supposed to be like $30 a month. I wonder what shows will be on the linear channel? $29.99 a month is a big jump from $10.99 on Peacock.

If all the PLEs are on linear ESPN channels, the $50 a month I pay for Sling Orange and the Sports add on is looking better and better. I'll just Cloud DVR WrestleMania if I can't catch it live. I already get AEW weekly and Football there. Now if New Japan would just find a better way to enter the US market.

The biggest thing I see about this is the archive content won't be on ESPN. It'll presumably be on some other service.

I'm telling you man, these streaming services are about to make me go back to cable. I cut the cord over 10 years ago, but i mean they are just fleecing people left and right. And the whole point of myself paying for a streaming service was to not have commercials. Now they change all the rules and you have to pay more for that. So what is the difference now? Cable is almost seeming like a better value.

IF it's all there. They haven't specified which PLEs yet. It wouldn't suprise me if some are exclusive to the streaming service to try and drive subscriptions. Likely WM and SS. Or they could do the lesser ones on ESPNews/U and drive you to a higher cable package or the streamer to get that.

Either way you will now likely need Netflix, Peacock, and ESPNstream/Cable to get everything WWE offers, and I'm not sure all those get NXT. Does Peacock have it now that it airs on CW?

Meanwhile AEW is pushing everything onto HBOmax if they ever get the PPVs figured out.

It's sure getting harder to watch WWE.

I guess it depends on where you look. I know starting Jan 1 the peacock deal ends. Eapn is pushing their new flagship service at a 30$ month premium. It will have exclusive events and 5 PLE including wrestlemania

One major reason I don’t watch AEW is because the PLE’s aren’t easily accessible like WWE’s are. If they switch the Max, I’d probably drop WWE altogether. This move to ESPN is some .

They're on Amazon now. Hard to be easier to find than that. Unless you mean paying separately for PPVs. Because that is unlikely to change. Figuring out how to charge for the PPVs is the current hold up on HBO Max. They seem committed to that model for PLEs.

Correct, I meant paying for them. WWE is nice because with the educator discount, Peacock is maybe $5, if even that. So it’s hard to argue $5 vs., what $50? I don’t even know what PPVs cost anymore.
