Yea he definitely needs a new jolt. I saw a thing on Twitter where a guy speculated he’s in on it with The Rock. The theory goes that Cena was faking it all, he goes to do something dirty, but Rhodes stops it and out comes The Rock. That’s when Rhodes, who has finally “sold his soul”, makes the turn.

For sure! I loved the tag match between them and Reigns/Jey. I didn’t have a lot of high hopes, but it was pretty great.

I still like the prediction of Cena faking the face turn only to be stabbed in the back by The Rock and Cody, who’s secretly sold his soul. By doing that, you can put Cena back on track to be a face as he goes from “destroying wrestling” to now “saving” wrestling from The Final Boss.

I'd be okay with that. Cody needs a change of pace, and Cena needs to retire face.

Agreed on both. And we know that Cena won’t retire as a heel, no way he’d want to go out like that. And I know this heel run has been pretty rough, but there’s also no way they’d be so lazy as to make last night’s promo be the way he turns face.

I think The Rock has to be there for this story to make any kind of sense. Either Cena was faking the turn or The Rock has to beat him down, either during or after the match. Cody could go either way, but if he’s taking time off, it doesn’t make much sense to turn him heel or even put the belt back on him.

For those that plan on watching but haven't yet, I'll do a spoiler tag.

Rollins went so far as to have Becky post on Twitter or Insta them taking a walk with their little girl with him on crutches. They put in the work to keep us guessing if the injury was legit or a work. Kudos for that, IMO. All this talk of "pulling back the curtain" with their new program, and they still put so much effort into kayfabe. I like it.

Didn’t Roman hold the title and hardly appear on air? It could be done. I think you gotta do something, even if it isn’t necessarily Cena losing the title. But to me, Cena has to turn face now, because that gives him the final 6 months of the year to go out in a positive note.
