For me, This one hits more than the Ozzy news the Hulkster was my childhood from 5 or 6 years old through the heel turn and Hollywood Hogan in my high school years.

Sounds like we're of a similar age. It was summer of my sophomore year when he made his heel turn. But I'm also a metal head, so Ozzy hits just as hard for me. It's hard to over estimate the impact each had on their respective corners of the culture.

This was a gut punch for me as well because the Hulkster,as you said, was mine and most kids childhood hero growing up in the 80s. I had to do a double take hearing the news. Im a big music fan,but wrasslin has been a big go to form of entertainment for me growing up into adulthood (showing my age lol) RIP Hulkster Thanks for the memories!

I caught Hogan in the late 80s probably after the peak of that WWE era. I wished I could have seen him earlier in his carrier

I wasn’t a huge Hulk Hogan fan as I grew up more with NWA/WCW wrasslin’ but his impact on wrestling cannot be understated. His heel turn into Hollywood Hogan will never be topped or really even matched. I think Nick Aldis summed it up pretty well.

For those of us who lived through Hulkamania and Rock'n'Wrestling, big blow. Huge part of our childhood. Turns out he had some crap takes that we learned about as adults, but Hulk Hogan was wrestling for a generation of fans.
