I’ll say the predictability of it all really has started taking a toll. I mean I get it’s wrestling and sometimes it’s just gotta be obvious, but I’d like a “OMG, I did not see that coming” moment every now and then.

But that wasn’t the problem tonight. Tonight it just felt rushed and shoddily put together.

WWE follows "the formula" no matter what. They are terrible at booking on the fly.

I could easily make an argument that Gunther is currently the best overall man on the roster. I love Gunther!

100% agree with you here! Am I going to watch that show? Yes, because I’ve always found that part of wrestling the most interesting. But do I agree with them doing it? Absolutely not. Sure wrestling is scripted and everyone not drinking bleach or doing the Tide Pod Challenge knows it. But by having that show, they’ve completely taken away the beauty and mystic that is the wrestling and in-ring magic by showing you, I’m assuming, what all goes into designing and implementing the storylines. Shame on HHH for doing that, he should know better. Aside from McMahon’s extracurricular activities, HHH running the creative is by far the worst thing that’s happened to the company. He’s gotta go before it all tanks.

SNME...my thoughts:

1. I feel about Jelly Roll how I felt about Travis Scott. Doesn't belong there at all. Desperate grab at attention. It's one thing to have a celebrity cut a promo or have a brief segment (e.g. Trump being on WWE, etc). It's another to have them get involved with a match, and then have a match of their own. Stupidity. Orton, Paul, McIntyre....Jelly Roll. One of these men isn't like the other.....it's diluting and degrading the product. I don't know why they can't see that.

2. I'm sick and tired of the "interference." Gone are the days when the rule is that people finished matches without someone else interfering. Now it's the rule that someone is going to do something to interfere. And of course, it just keeps the drama going, I realize that. But goodness, it's ridiculous. Orton/Drew - there's interference from JR and Paul. Solo/Jimmy - interference from Solo's goons. LA/Seth - I still don't know what in the heck Paul Heyman's reason for existence is. I cannot stand him. And then Goldberg's son getting involved.... I'm just sick of the interference. It used to be interference was a big deal when it happened. Now, I'm more shocked when someone beats someone fair and square.

3. I don't get the hype on Solo Sikoa. I personally dislike him. Don't think he is superstar caliber. At all.

4. I like LA Knight. Hate that Seth got injured, and I really believe he did. I like Knight's character, but I'm not sure how they can evolve him to get him over that hump. I feel like he is missing something that's keeping him from that top tier.

5. Goldberg.....the man looked pretty dang good for 58 years old. I'll admit, when I saw him walk from the locker room to the arena, I thought "he can't even walk right." But he did a great job. Not a 3 minute match. Definitely held his own, and looked good with the greatest hits. I took great pleasure in watching Gunther get speared. I love to hate that guy. Speaking on Gunther, doesn't he seem straight out of a Rocky movie? Like, he could be the villain in one. I like Gunther, I think he is good for wrestling. I'm just not sure where they go with Gunther. How do you progress and evolve that character? He will always be a heel...no way he ever becomes a babyface. I'm just not sure what you do with him once this schtick of "big bad Austrian bully" is up.

6. I do not believe that it was scripted for Goldberg to lose by submission. I believe that Goldberg was supposed to win, and then Seth cash in his MITB, beat Goldberg and take the title. However, Seth's injury prevented that. HOWEVER, if WWE is smart (which they're not), then they should seize the opportunity to have Seth pass the contract to Bron Brekker, and HE go 1 on 1 with Gunther. I think that would be an amazing match actually.

Overall, it was nice to see Goldberg do it (quite well actually) one more time. I grew up in the era of Sting, Hogan, Savage, The Giant, Goldberg, DDP. Sad to see all of my heroes are now gone. But nice that they gave Goldberg one more time. And nice to see him look (mostly) like his old self.

Not a great PLE at all. I'm not impressed with the direction lately. Stupid things keep happening. Randy Orton fighting Joe Hendry for all of 30 seconds.....Travis Scott showing up randomly. The Final Boss having this whole "sell your soul thing," and then disappearing....now Jelly Roll becoming a thing....

It seriously seems like they have no clue what they're doing anymore, and I don't like it. It feels like the formula is "Start a plot....have a match, but wait! someone interfered! So now we have to have another match to determine who is really better.....but someone interfered again! Let's repeat the whole thing all over again, until nobody cares, and then someone will win, and we'll forget the whole thing ever happened."

I hope Summerslam is better. But so far? Jelly Roll/Orton vs Paul/Drew is what we got to start with. Not a compelling start.

Stayed up and watched the All In replay. Heck of a show. Both Gauntlets were great and I love the winner of the ladies one.

I wonder what's up with Cole? He looked like he sincerely thought this might be it.

Definitely wouldn't have called Dustin. But it's good to see him get that last ride.

2 guys went out on back boards. I wonder if they'll be off TV for a bit?

All the of the main events were great. As soon as Hanger came out to his old music, from the face side of the ramp, in his "white hat" gear, I knew we were getting the right ending.

I was going to go number by number and provide my feedback, but I actually found myself agreeing with most of what you said. Especially 2 and 3, which you’re 100% spot on.

However, I gotta disagree with you on 5 and 6. For starters, Goldberg looked and did better than I thought he’d do, but he still looked like he was a 58 year old man and the match as a whole was relatively boring, especially the first 5 minutes where Goldberg basically stood still and they had Gunther being thrown or running all over the ring. That said, I was surprised when Goldberg speared into the wall, I didn’t think they’d do that to him and loved it! As for Gunther, I absolutely think you can turn him into a baby face and there’s been moments when they‘ve hinted at it. And now that Rollins is hurt, I can see them having someone like Punk turn heel and provide that fodder to Gunther. They already have the moment where he shoved Gunther to the ground for no real reason, so there’s momentum there. As for Rollins and the briefcase, I don’t think Breaker should get the briefcase right away, unless Rollins is seriously hurt. But even then, I don’t think it should just be handed to Breaker. I’d like to see some sort of MITB match at Summer Slam. Hell they have two nights now, one of my annoyances akin to your #2, but I digress, you can easily throw it in on Night 1.

Overall, it was a boring and terribly clunky PLE that I think was even more exasperated with the Rollins injury. Either he was going to cash in OR as he was about to cash in, Reigns or Punk showed up to halt the cash in, distracting Goldberg who would get mad at “overshadowing my retirement match” and Gunther gets the pin.

Tonight’s Evolution is going to be even worse because they’ve barely built up any of the storylines and I’m not invested in a single one aside from the Becky et. al. match. And I may watch the Jade one now because Bianca is in it and I gotta support my VFL. Otherwise, I have zero investment in tonight’s PLE and will probably only have it on because my daughter wants to watch the girls wrestled—she was bummed there weren’t any long segments on SNME.

And my last bit, sorry this is so long! I’m worried about what’s going to happened with the Raw product now that Rollins is hurt, because they were heavily invested in him and his stable. With him out, I assume indefinitely but hope I’m wrong, all they’ve got aside from his stable’s storyline is the Judgment Day stuff they’ve been working on, but without Liv, I don’t know if you can do the “stable breaking up” stuff. Aside from Rollins, the only real veteran baby faces who get that huge crowd bump are Punk and Uso, but the latter has already proven he’s not up to being the face of WWE as his title run was horrendous and aside from “Yeet”, he sucks. It’ll be interesting to see and hoping Rollins just tweaked the knee and bit and, after a week or two of resting, he’ll be right as rain.

Never really watch wwe. Im tuning into Evolution tonight out of lack of anything else to do except yard work lol. I see Maria may is walking out Jordyn grace. What's the chances she screws her over to get the spotlight? Surely wwe isn't this easy to read, right? She even said she didn't want to steal the spotlight. I believe she said and did that same thing in AEW at one point. Maybe it's in my head and it didn't really happen like that, but sure seems like it did. Sure is nice to look at so no complaints for her being there though lol.

That pin was really cool looking live but when they slowed it down it wasn't as pretty. Sure was cool full speed though. That leg drop thing Lyra did on them both while they were standing was nice. Baily took it like a champ
