The WRASSLIN’ Thread

So I watched NXT and AEW for this week. For the first time I think the actual in ring action was better on AEW overall. But the match of the night was definitely the NXT main event.

Also the end of NXT was good. Cant wait to see what's next.
Everybody loves a good swerve. Lee and Dijakovic are putting out the best matches, between two big men, I've seen in a long while. I can't decide if I would rather see the rubber match between them, or for them to be in War Games come Takeover.

I would like to see Undisputed Era vs DIY and Lee and Dijakovic in War Games, but i wouldn't think they'd put all the title holders in 1 match.

Yeah, unless UE drops two titles in the next few weeks, I don't see it happening. I'm guessing the swerve tonight was to setup the heel team for War Games vs Team Gargano.

Just finished Smackdown. Overall Smackdown has been way better than Raw, and it's not even close. Again, I HATE the Raw announce team. I still thing AEW has way better in ring action than anything WWE has got. Granted I don't watch NXT.

Yeah stop wasting you time with RAW and SD and watch NXT. Trust me you wont regret it. You can easily keep up with RAW and SD through Twitter and YouTube and not miss a beat during the PPVs.

NXT, AEW, and New Japan are the best things going right now. I can't even make it through an episode of SD or Raw. I just read the recap of them and watch the PPVs.

NXT can screw off for making a picture-perfect Jackhammer get a damn 1 count
Devaluing finishing moves with multiple false finishes is a plague that's been going on for years. That's why you are see many flippy high spots. They constantly devolve into contact gymnastics because think they constantly have to up the visual ante when really all they need to do is tell better stories that make the moves matter.

I don't mind a kick out. I mind a picture-perfect Jackhammer getting a 1-count.

Meh, unless Goldberg is delivering it, it's just another move. It would have been great if they made it "DudeBro's" new finisher though. It looked a lot better than the one they gave him last week.

If you're gonna call it a Jackhammer, ya gotta treat it at least similar to a Jackhammer. And a Jackhammer deserves at least a close count.

I don't recall Grimes "no selling" it last week. If doing so becomes a trend that would be annoying. Until then, I'll write it off as a botch by Fish.
