I really enjoyed Double or Nothing but I don’t think we really learned much about AEW . We still have no idea how the weekly shows are gonna go and major props on the new title

I'm still only 1 match in to DoN, but the ring is reeeeaaaally bouncy. Also haven't paid attention to camerawork yet, but I'm curious if they'll have the same style as WWE or have different style of zooming, etc.

The ring should be bouncy......it's better for the wrestlers well being.

We paused before the Young Bucks v. Lucha Bros. Good show so far. Cody looked hella petty with that entrance stunt. Will finish DoN tomorrow and catch Raw as well.

I see that it's a popular take that the whole Cody taking a shot at HHH and WWE things was 'petty' and 'cheesy'. I'm just like why can't they have fun with it? I loved all the shots WWE and WCW used to take at each other. It was silly and fun to me.

Responding to his comments were out of the way but he’ll learn over time that it’s not needed. I don’t remember the last time WWE had crowd pop like AEW.

The reason it's petty to me is that Cody is the wrestler in that company with seemingly the most creative control. Every part of that was clearly his idea and his design. Wasting any creative energy on pot shots at the established company when you're already 100% over just seems like grabbing low-hanging fruit when you're a carnivore. It accomplishes nothing.

In front of that crowd? They were completely over. To people who spent $50 to watch it? They were probably already 95% over. All I'm saying is that there was no need to pander to those who paid to watch that show.

If you didn't get to see it the AEW Double or Nothing Pre-show The Buy In was streamed on the TNT YouTube channel.

I watched this last night and outside of Billy Gunn I had know idea who any of these people are.
