I was pretty disappointed we let this team back in with a pretty bad second half. It seems like with the meltdown yesterday this was the worst thing ever.
I remember last year during the end of Mizzou game thinking...I wish the D would get an int or a fumble or something....this game felt a lot like that one. We took our foot off the gas, Worley had 2 bad INTs, our holder blocked Palardy's kick, Worley lost all confidence....everything that could go wrong did...and guess what...the Defense made a stop at the end of the game to seal it....something I wished for multiple times the past 2 years but didn't happen.
TO put this in perspective, if we would have had made a play like the last defensive play in games in the past few years we would have beat LSU, beat UNC, beat Mizzou, beat Kentucky and yes beat Georgia last year.
This game actually had little bearing now on the season. The next 2 games to me are our most important to a really successful season.
We have a Georgia team fresh off an emotional without Gurley coming to Neyland. Then 2 weeks off and a USCe Team coming to town which is a little battered right now and needs a break.
We win 1 of these 2 and where do we stand? We likely have our best season since 2007.
We lose both and we need some luck to get to a bowl.
