99th out of 120 teams giving up 453 ypg in total defense.
85th in rush defense giving up 181 ypg.
103rd in pass defense.
118th in red zone defense. One spot ahead of the two teams tied for dead last in all of college.

Is this the worst defense of our lifetime?

It's possible, but I do expect the D to finish slightly higher than they are currently ranked when looking at the teams left on the schedule

Yeah it's probably the worst.

2007 Defense was the only thing I could find close.

28.1 Points
407.6 Yards per game
3186 pass yards (245 per)
2113 rush yards (162.5 per)
16 INt's (3 TDS)
27 Sacks

Yes and third and long is just as likely to be a touchdown as a first down. Just an average mid of the road defense and we only have two loses.

The red zone stat speaks to coaching more than anything. The players fold when under any pressure. They always have under Dooley. I think they have a similar mindset to their coach. That happens alot in sports.

You would think but I doubt it gets much better. This staff seems incapable of choosing to adjust to it's players instead of having the players adjust to a scheme that they're either unable to run or unwilling to run.

I doubt our scoring defense or margin approaches that year. Too depressed to look at this point.

Missed tackles and blown coverages. Feels like a broken record player for 2 straight years.
