The world isnt over

I wonder what that new kicker was referring to when he said we were going to be surprising a lot of folks come signing day?

I would jump on the Jones bandwagon but I can't get over the fact that Dooley's only blowout in 3 years was over Jones' best team at Cincinnati.

Jones is good at selling the juice but we are yet to determine the proof.

And once we win some games this year we will be getting five star players

I'm lost, what games are we going to win next year? 6-6 would probably be deemed a decent year with our schedule but that isn't going to impress any big name recruits.

If some Vol fans lived in reality with their expectations, they wouldn't be so disappointed all the time.

The dooley's firing gave our recruiting a big time shot in the arm! If Butch pulls off a signature win in his first season , that will also be a big boost !

We need to hire jawja's scheduler ! :hi:

Same here.

This thread is not legitimate to me because it implies a lot of us think that "the world is over". Hence my sarcastic post.

"The world is over" What does that even mean? The world is ending, the sky is falling, I get. Not The world is over. Make it up as you go?

On topic------We need a running back more than anything. FORD is the key to finishing this class on a high note------IMO.

Dooley's roster > Butch's. Not much Cincy could do the way Bray, Rogers and Hunter were clicking that day.

When UT hired Dooley he was 17-23 as a HC. When Butch was hired by UT he had won or tied 4 out of 6 conference championships as a HC. Butch has proven he can coach on game day.

I agree! Ford is key.

Everyone calm down. I work with a guy that knows lawson's family really good and his reassurance to the barn is just smoke screen. They are upset about the issue that transpired on his last visit and this is his way of "sticking it to the man". They get the reassurance speech but we get the LOI.

Lemme guess, this guy you know was also one of the experts predicting that Gruden to Tennessee was a done deal. Right ?

If butch wins 6 or 7 then we WILL get better recruits he has to prove he is a good coach before people will want to play for him.look a freeze he proved he can coach now people are going there

At absolute best Vols go 7-5 and they are very likely to lose at Missouri and in Knoxville to Auburn and / or Vandy so its 5-7 or 4-8 and sit home during bowl season again. I have a tough time believing Tennessee can beat anyone in SEC except Kentucky. I hope new staff makes me eat crow 12 Saturdays in a row. Scores are just WAG's cause I could.

Naw I'm good. I just get sick of the idiots that think they can tell people how to think. I don't tell others how to think I would expect others to treat me the same way. I respect everybody's opinion whether I agree with it or not but I will bite back if I get attacked.

First, you really suck at comebacks. Seriously.

Second, you don't tell others how to think? Offering your opinion as fact is telling people how to think. Reread your own posts. You've not shown any respect for the opinions of others.

Reality is UT football is a product sold by the AD to the fans. Fans want the bang for their buck. Yes, most expect miracles to happen overnight, but it is not unrealistic for the average fan to expect progress. If failure is your expectation, then you'll never be disappointed, but you'll also never have a winning season.

I could care less about you or your stinking opinion of me, my opinions or my come backs. I repeatedly walked away from any confrontation with him. Repeatedly told him I respected his right to feel anyway he like and asked him to please forward me the same courtesy. Sounds like you need to go back and read. Now I kindly ask you to ignore me if you don't like my post. There are very few people I don't get along with on this board, many opinions I disagree with but they respect my right to have my opinion as I do there's. Now if you get off your internet tough guy enforcement high horse, I'll agree to not respond to your pathetic attempts at posting and you can do the same to mine. Agree?
