I dont know if this has been brought up in any thread yet. The week before we play at Auburn they play LSU and we already know we play FL. Could the winner of this game be decided on who takes the lesser beating(not saying that either team will lose but physically). I think we have the man power to get thru Florida and Auburn can def get thru LSU, which squad will be able to rebound, win or lose, and play another SEC power the coming week. I feel from watching interviews with the players that our guys will be in shape and ready to go week in and week out. I hope we are healthy tho!

If it is a factor I would guess we would be less "beat up" than Auburn. AU/LSU always seems to be one of the hardest hitting games of the year.

That is nonsense.

In the sense that what you wrote literally makes no sense.

Auburn will be playing their 5th game of the season in as many weeks and coming off back to back games with an improving Miss State and LSU with a very rugged defense.

You are absolutely right. But with all of the fights going on in your practices you have to think team unity will play a factor into the game as well.

I think Ole Miss is going to beat Auburn. Honestly. With that said, here's my prediction...

1. Alabama is gonna win the west.
2. Auburn is gonna be a bust.
3. We won't roll over Auburn, but we'll beat them by 3 to 7, and the winning points will come way late.
4. I think Miss. St. defense is going to pound on Auburn's offense harder than LSU's.

This is Alabama's best shot at winning the west in a long time. I think if Auburn plays to what the "experts" say, then they will win. I could see any of the teams in the west to win it this year. I would say that LSU is talented enough to win it, but lost a lot of key players to the draft. Auburn could do it, but with new coordinators on both sides of the ball, new system, and fighting with eachother almost every practice...not likely. Alabama still has JPW at QB, and lost both of their WR's. Lost some key players on D too. Miss St wouldn't surprise me one bit. No one is picking them and they have pretty much everyone returning. Arky, also a strong possibility if Bobby Petrino can run his O like he did a few years ago with Brohm and Bush. Ole Miss has some talent for Nutt to work with. I think the west is pretty much a toss up with LSU, Auburn, and Miss St leading.

How beat up can UT possibly get arm tackling Gator WRs, RBs, and TT?

Law, you can't keep thinking that just because UT had a poor performance last year against FL that they will do the same this year and not have a very good team. I know you have stated several times you just can't see UT being that good this year after the beating they took by FL last year.

You might be setting yourself up for a big let down and disappointment. I know the Florida players and fans all feel the same way you do, but I am just saying you might be in for a big surprise. (Maybe, you won't???)

What I am saying, most of the time things are completely different from one year to the next in college football. My, how fast things can change...........

It is very likely that AU vs. UT game could be the biggest game of the year. If we beat UF, and AU beats LSU then it could be the game that legitimizes National Championship talks. In the same amount of time, UGA will have played USCa and ASU so a frontrunner will be obvious after week 6. Gameday on the plains, and the Vols earn the respect of the nation.

Are you sure it doesn't hit newstands until then? Because I bought it in the airport on Tuesday. Decent article with Tebow. He is a humble guy. I can't bring myself to hate him as a person just a Florida Gator.

Agree. I hope Berry gives him a concussion on the first snap of the game, but if I saw him out somewhere I would just shake his hand. A very decent person.

I think that Tennessee will play two VERY close games in a row in late September. I look for the Florida and Auburn games to come down to the last 2 minutes of the game with one team getting their hearts broken. If I had to pick a game that I think Tennessee has a shot at winning comfortably it would be the Auburn game moreso than the Florida game. Even though it's in Jordan Hare Auburn could still be working out the kinks by then.
