It's ashame that the so called drunk made the right call. I just don't understand how alot of our fan base at gaes are so pathetic they feel the need for a wave. Does anyone see fans at other schools doing the wave? I have not seen it on TV all year.

go to any big 10 game ull see it there

here are just a taste
YouTube - slow wave to fast wave at camp randall
YouTube - The Wave at Michigan Stadium
YouTube - PSU vs Illinois whitehouse fastest stadium wave
YouTube - Rutgers Stadium Wave

A little off subject here but did anyone else think the orange part of the checkerboard in the south end zone looked a little off, more fluorescent than UT orange? I'm not sure if it came across that way on tv.

Does it start in the student section? I was in Section Q and yelling at the dumba$$ rednecks who were doing the wave, not only when a Vandy player was down, but when we were on offense.
We have to many rednecks that we allow in the stadium and old people that just sit and watch. There were only a few times the stadium got even a bit loud last night. The stadium should be rocking EVERY TIME we are on defense.

If you are a student, PLEASE DON'T START THE WAVE, or CONTINUE the wave.

D, it seems to start in the southeast corner of the endzone, section G-H ish? It's almost always to my left about 3 sections, and no, I don't think it's students.

What perturbs me most is that it's the only time the old farts seem to get off their keesters to cheer, and it's almost always at the least useful time.

Maybe when we need a big stop? Maybe after we score and want to keep the momentum? Maybe on a goal line stand?

But no, always when it's quiet and we're on offense.

The old farts have gotten worse and worse throughout the years. I'm sure you can remember the times when the stadium was so loud that you couldn't hear yourself talk.

Do our fans not realize it's 2009, not 1985?

Seriously....does anyone else do the Wave anymore besides our stupid fans?

Yeah. D.Moore is playing very well right now. Doesn't mean that A.Rogers wasn't one of the team's best receivers when he was playing.

You're delusional if you would pick Rogers over Moore right now. It's just not close. Rogers is limited due to his effectiveness being only in the slot most of the time.

Agreed! The wave is like watching the same tv episode over and over, 16 times (two per home game) per year. It never changes. Yeah, it is cool to see the first few times. But it is THE SAME all the time. Why do we do it twice EVERY GAME!?!

I dislike the wave. It seems juvenile and, in particular, when we are on offense or a player is hurt, it is completely ignorant. It was OK in the 80's, but not now.

I took my 2 sons with me to this game and doing the wave was the best part for them. They loved it! Of course they are only 8 and 6 years old and this was the first time they had seen it.

I love how people complain about how the stadium is not loud enough, then its to loud or to crazy. Its a college game and its a 102,000 person stadium shaped like a bowl, the wave is almost inevitable. If you don't like the wave at Neyland stay away from Bristol during Nascar season haha

The wave hardly bothers me at all on defense.....
