I just like the Governor because he adds another element. This show will always be based around the zombies and the outbreak, but it was nice to have a villian last season that could actually think for himself. I personally think he's been the most well written character on the show.
I don't buy him. He's just a regular guy and then he becomes Hitler because his daughter turned zombie then got killed? It would make more sense if he were a drug kingpin or something like that pre-zombie apocalypse.
I'd be far more annoyed if he was a drug kingpin that built a society. I look at him as a guy that probably was sh*t on in the real world, and used this as a chance to be who he really is. We don't know what all happened to get him to that point either. To lesser degrees of course others have done the same. Daryl went from a racist redneck that hated everyone, to the ultimate provider and protector. Carol went from a battered woman with no sense of worth, to a leader and a strong woman that can stand on her own.
Maybe you're right, but drug kingpins are typically savvy businessmen and leaders. It wouldn't surprise me if one could manage a city of 73 people, or whatever it was.
I agree, for my personal tastes it would have just been too cliche. There probably is a drug kingpin "governor" somewhere. Even though in The Walking Dead world, if you were a bad guy in real life you seem to die. I find it funny that a band of misfits always survive the Z.A. but the military is destroyed.
That's a great point. I've often wondered how the lumbering zombies take down society.

If you guys don't like the show, don't watch it.
It is entertainment on television and anything can happen on TV or in the movies. Let your imagination go for a while.
Scott Gimple is doing a fantastic job of writing and developing characters this season. Best written season thus far.
Trust me, I contribute much more to this thread then you two imbeciles.
