The Walking Dead

Lol how do you know Rick doesn't snore?

What? Martinez looks like the guy that mows my lawn. :)

You can assume he doesn't snore based on the fact that no zombie tried tearing away the gurney from the door to try to get to him.

Not helping Jerry, quit before you're neck deep. :)

We need to watch him sleep...wait that sounds creepy.

What did I do now? Lol

I just like the Governor because he adds another element. This show will always be based around the zombies and the outbreak, but it was nice to have a villian last season that could actually think for himself. I personally think he's been the most well written character on the show.

I don't buy him. He's just a regular guy and then he becomes Hitler because his daughter turned zombie then got killed? It would make more sense if he were a drug kingpin or something like that pre-zombie apocalypse.

Spoilers (Highlight to read)

Penny isn't his kid.

Interesting. Still doesn't explain the inconsistency I perceive....yet.

As most people have said, the comic Governor is one of the best villains of all time. The show Governor is still lacking some what I agree. Probably because some of the stuff he did couldn't be put on TV.

I'd be far more annoyed if he was a drug kingpin that built a society. I look at him as a guy that probably was sh*t on in the real world, and used this as a chance to be who he really is. We don't know what all happened to get him to that point either. To lesser degrees of course others have done the same. Daryl went from a racist redneck that hated everyone, to the ultimate provider and protector. Carol went from a battered woman with no sense of worth, to a leader and a strong woman that can stand on her own.

Maybe you're right, but drug kingpins are typically savvy businessmen and leaders. It wouldn't surprise me if one could manage a city of 73 people, or whatever it was.

I agree, for my personal tastes it would have just been too cliche. There probably is a drug kingpin "governor" somewhere. Even though in The Walking Dead world, if you were a bad guy in real life you seem to die. I find it funny that a band of misfits always survive the Z.A. but the military is destroyed.

That's a great point. I've often wondered how the lumbering zombies take down society.

It's cause these loud and slowass zombies become stealthy and quick when the writers decide somebody needs to die.

Seriously, people will be running through an open field and a zombie will get the drop on them and at other times you can just kinda scoot safely by in a narrow area.

Especially when all it takes to control a zombie is to deftly step to one side as it lunges at you, or close the door to it's room.

And as Rick and Carol found out, Zombies can't descend a flight of stairs, it stands to reason ascending them isn't a strong suit.

If you guys don't like the show, don't watch it.

It is entertainment on television and anything can happen on TV or in the movies. Let your imagination go for a while.

Scott Gimple is doing a fantastic job of writing and developing characters this season. Best written season thus far.

lighten up, Francis

no one here has said that they don't like the show, it's just that there are little things that pop up here and there that you notice and wonder why the producers didn't

Trust me, I contribute much more to this thread then you two imbeciles.

You remind me of the poster that questioned my manhood after I said Claudio Sanchez sang like a girl.

Again, lighten up. What's the point in discussing a TV show if all you're going to do is gush and fawn and pronounce it the greatest thing ever?

You're wrong. You're forgetting the army helicopter crew that the gov and his thugs took out. Granted they were later killed but they survived the ZA.

Thread went haywire. I think the show has suffered for the last few years because of the continual changes to the staff, etc, and because of that there's inconsistencies and different paces to the story. Thought the last episode was a waste of my time because I'm tired of the Governor. The thing is, every time I tell myself i'm done, they kill an episode.
