The Walking Dead

I'd want a katana. Light, durable, and gets the job done.

If you went with a bat, it better be metal, don't want to break a bat in the middle of a zombie "herd" lol (though that might give you a spear or two)

would like an assault rifle for range and a handgun or two (not sure which), with some shotguns in for "home defense"

Not sure about the bat - unless you retro fitted it with nails =)

battle ready katanas/swords are extremely durable - they're not the ones you see at the gas station/thrift stores!

They also cost $300+ and aren't common unless you collect them.

No nails needed. :)

Yea I know quality Katana's aren't fragile. I'm just thinking something long and thin, what's more likely to get hung up somewhere or break. Not breaking from cutting something but from something hitting the katana from the side with some force.

But katana gets you style points. Everyone will want to run with the person with the katana.

Def the katana. It's fast and can really chop the head off . The .22 hand gun with an extended clip would be the best. Quick shot and not loud. And the ammo is prob the easiest to get. I alone have like four bricks of .22 ammo . The AR would be a good distance gun. But my lever action 30-30 would do ok.

Anyone think we might get some flashbacks of the Governor's past this season (Rise of the Governor storyline)?

After perusing a couple of TWD forums, the story line makes a ton of sense now. I don;t know exactly where they are going with things, but it is about to get very interesting to say the least.

I don't really see that as a diss, he's not saying it sucks. Ok maybe soap opera was a little harsh though not exactly far off base, it has some soap operaish moments. George fancies himself the King of Zombies, and honestly he is, and as is said repeatedly in here it's not a zombie show. So why would he want to do it? Plus his movies always have an underlying message if you will, via the zombies. Would have been an odd match anyway. Plus let's be honest his last few movies have been total crap, and I say that as a huge Romero fan. He kinda takes shots at everyone now, and I think a lot of it has to do with his own recent failures.

You'd be bitter about having your ideas hijacked too. Romero got screwed over by a copyright snafu - his original film became public domain which is why there are some many god awful Living Dead knock offs.

I use to be a big Romero fan but his last movies were complete trash. I have to be honest. The time period he got famous durin was when movies were cheesy. He did well with that style, but he doesn't know how to make a good modern movie, IMO.

This.

I like him and appreciate what he's done, but his last Dead movie was awful. Like SyFy movie awful. Land of the Dead and Diary of the Dead were both decent enough, but Survival of the Dead was just terrible.

A couple of thoughts after this episode:

1. Will they find out what that radio signal in the car was that lead to the car crash or will it never be mentioned again?

2. Chainsaws would be too loud. They'd attract too many zombies.

3. My weapon of choice would be a sling-shot with bayonets on the end for closer range. :salute:
