I think it's reasonable to have seen some chainsaws being used by now. I mean the prison is surrounded by forests, why not use the wood? Plus a chainsaw would literally take out dozens of walkers in no time.
The increase in population should have been put to greater level of production heading into this season imo. Now the virus, while plausible, is a plot device to cull the population and question whether to abandon the prison. Just thinking aloud here...
I'm just impressed Rick found a way to charge his iPod.
Maybe he sneaks over and charges it at the governors, they had power didn't they? Lol
They apparently do have electricity at the prison. There is one blatant scene in the last episode where Tyrese turns on a light bulb. I was so surprised I rewound it and watched it again.
EDC Knife: SOG TridentWhat would everyone's weapon of choice be?
I would want a real (not replica) Scottish claymore - similar to William Wallace's sword in Braveheart.
Realistically, though, I'd probably go with a double bladed ax or sledgehammer.
EDC Knife: SOG Trident
Utility Tool/Weapon: Black Ka-Bar 12'
Melee: Katana
Long gun: AR-15
Sidearm: S&W M&P 9mm
Got this **** planned out.
I guess I want to see a more realistic portrayal of survival in a zombie apocalypse.
They rarely go out on runs for supplies unless it's a life or death situation. This would be almost a daily necessity in a real survival event.
I'm guessing Norman Reedus can't grow a really decent looking beard, and Steven Yeun has such a babyface I'm not surprised he doesn't. You'd think every adult male on there would have at least some patches going on.
I can't grow a very good beard but if I went long enough without shaving it would come in eventually. Seems like if they wanted it to look the most realistic they'd have all the guys just let their facial hair go.

AMC RENEWS The Walking Dead
FOR A FIFTH SEASON
Even The Walkers Saw It Coming As Network Opts To Bring Back
The #1 Show On Television Among Adults 18-49
New York October 29, 2013 AMC announced today that it has renewed The Walking Dead for a fifth season. The number one show on television among adults 18-49, The Walking Dead returned for a fourth season earlier this month and the premiere episode set a new record for the series, delivering 20.2 million viewers, live+3, and 13.2 million adults 18-49, a new record for any non-sports cable telecast.
We are very happy to make what has to be one of the most anti-climactic renewal announcements ever: The Walking Dead is renewed for a fifth season, said Charlie Collier, AMC president. This is a show that has erased traditional distinctions between cable and broadcast. Its expanding base of passionate fans has grown every season, most recently and most notably with the season four premiere earlier this month, which broke viewership records for the series and became the biggest non-sports telecast in cable history. On behalf of the incredible team on both sides of the camera, thank you to the fans and heres to more Dead.
Here's the thought process of the people who always call it a slow episode... "Zombies! Zombies! Zombies! Now, now now! Kill, kill, kill! Raaaahhhhh!"
Do you think they are no longer shaving? Just because its the zombie apocalypse doesn't mean you have to look like Si Robertson.I'm guessing Norman Reedus can't grow a really decent looking beard, and Steven Yeun has such a babyface I'm not surprised he doesn't. You'd think every adult male on there would have at least some patches going on.

For a gun, just a simple .22 rifle. Easy to handle with nil kick. Even my mom can shoot a .22 rifle. Also not loud like some of the handguns and rifles everyone's been using. Probably won't draw as much attention to yourself.
Melee weapon, something light and keeps distance. Katana, baseball bat, ect. I'd Lean towards a bat because it's probably more durable than a sword. And I played baseball my whole life so I'm comfortable with it. Plus a bat won't get stuck in a zombie. Then something small for up close.
For those who claim the show is too slow developing,
"What are you looking for in this show? "
A good character based drama/story where you can discuss morality, where you ask yourself if you would do the same, who's right and who's wrong?
OR
Are you in it just for blood and gore?
