The Walking Dead

Boy, there were a heck of a lot of zombies roaming around on that roof.

Yeah, that bothered me a tad, but since I thought them splatting on the floor was awesome, I overlooked it. :)

Not to mention if the roof was that weak I would think the weight of the helicopter would have caused it to collapse already.

The way I took it was the cieling was weak in spots from water damage. It showed dripping from the cieling and right away I figured it was hinting at what happened.

Who was the girl opposite to Carl when they were discussing walkers?

Some random girl in the camp that none of us know, at least not yet.

On Talking dead afterwards they kinda addressed it. Nathan Fillion noticed the same as others about the sick hacking and coughing all over the shower water. Scott Gimple didn't give anything away, but nodded through much of what Fillion said and mentioned that the kid died.

I don't think it's supposed to be an airborne zombie virus. I took it as the kid got sick and died. Then came back a zombie. I think the pig dying was supposed to help illustrate there's some kind of sickness that's going to mess things up for them.

I hope we're both right about it not being airborne.

Yeah, I figured the people on the roof went up there to try and avoid the over taking zombies. I'm assuming there was some kind of roof access from inside the building, that or there could have been ladders they climbed before they turned. I guessed that the chopper made a semi-hard landing, because it was damaged, just short of crashing otherwise a full blown crash would have sent it through the roof completely. Agreed, the helicopter would have collapsed but it made for good viewing.

The premiere shattered their old ratings record, it got a 16.1 and an 8.2 in the coveted 18-49 demo.

That's insane.

Which is sad, because I thought the premiere was largely lame; just like last year's finale.

Hard transition from BB to this show, which went hardcore with its content for the duration of the series, but it is a decent 2nd.

I like how a single wine bottle being put back on a shelf can bring the whole row of shelves down. Can you see that going down at your local publix? Lol

The water dripping from the ceiling caused the wood to rot over time.

I don't really see why it's sad, the show is hugely popular. I really thought the premiere was pretty decent.

If people thought it was lame, I'd think that would show up on the 2nd show. Not the first. I'd see the first episode ratings as a reflection of how excited people were for the new season. They tuned in to watch, so they got the 16 rating.

I thought it was great though. First episode is going to lay the ground for this season. I thought they did that pretty well. Plus there was some great zombie violence.

I enjoyed it. I thought the scenes with Rick and the crazy lady were very well done. That's sucks that the Big Lots got destroyed. Seems like there were a ton of good stuff in there.

Still think 30 minutes is enough for Talking Dead.

It's crazy considering the shows it's beating or almost beating are on channel 4 or 5. Channels that every person with a tv in America has. AMC isn't even in some packages.

Finally got a chance to watch it today. I thought it was really good. Laid great foundation for the season. Lots of zombies and a great action scene at the Big Lots. People whining about the lack of zombies last season should have been happy.

It's a premiere though. I wouldn't judge zombie participation on the premiere episode alone. The complaint for a lack of zombies was two seasons ago when they were at the farm.

Go back through this thread. There was plenty of griping in season 3.
