The Walking Dead

I think the show was at its peak when the group had the original members. I really felt like it allowed us to get to know them and you kinda develop feelings for them (as much as you can for someone on tv). With all these new people coming in there's not a lot of character development past the original members that are left. Still a good show, but I don't think it'll ever match season 1 and 2.

I have a feeling that will be back to the core group soon.

Yes. The previews gave away the thinning numbers of the new group already.

That kid that died in the shower is the voice of Phineas in Phineas and Ferb.

Here's my problem with this foreshadowing of this kid turning. Even if you feel safe in the prison you should have a night shift of guards, especially in a zombie apocolyptic world.

I think I might know what caused Patrick's death. It's illness, but probably not like airborne, likely some sort of plague, bubonic, pneumonic, or septicemic plague. Caused by flea bites from rats or other rodents/varments. If anyone noticed Patrick broke out with a really high fever, nauseam and right after he fell he was bleeding from the mucus membranes. We also saw previews of this season where someone is dropping dead animals, rats near the fence to attract the zombies.

Mr Fillion? :)

What are you getting at?

He won't kill zombies at the fence, he doesn't like going on runs. My thinking is his chick goes on a run and gets killed. The scene they showed where he is fighting with Rick and Daryl, is probably right after she dies and he blames them. The scene where he is in the car and they are stuck, and he just sits there, then jumps out and starts smashing zombies is probably where badass Tyrese is born. Just a guess.

Anyone notice the shots of the zombies on the fence that it showed every now and then? Their eyes were different and a few looked to be bleeding from the eyes. I saw this on imdb and it could make sense. Maybe a mutation to it?

I think its just the next logical step for the viruses evolution. We are already throwing disbelief out the window with the idea that these things are alive after a year in the wilderness with animals, terrain, the weather, etc. So the idea of the virus evolving to actually alter animals or normally healthy people isn't that crazy.

(I'll say, we already have willing disbelief cause ZOMBIES, but this is another level really, more Resident Evil type stuff for a fast changing virus IMO, because the alternative is a new disease.)

What what! :)

Ahhh, yes. He's currently a wuss but like the guy said on The Talking Dead it's not from the girlfriend. I think he does "grow up" quickly at some point and becomes badass Tyrese.

Weird I just saw that part. I'm not saying she makes him soft, but I think her death will be his breaking point.

Could be, or it could be the other girl that fought with him in the store.

That's his sister.

I think the illness has to be the contaminated water supply. They made sure to focus on the shower head during that scene.

I think that might have been focusing on him contaminating the water supply by hacking and sweaty over it. If it was already the water supply more people would already be sick, that scene is showing how more are about to become sick. IMO

This is probably on point; they said they are sticking closer to comic storylines this season, and this would be a close version of what happened in the comics.

I also wanted to add that, Violet the Pig is already a more interesting and intriguing character than Andrea was for three seasons

I agree, if it was the water supply more people would have already been infected.

I really hope they don't play the mutating airborne virus card. This would be poor writing as all bets are off in that case as nobody would be safe. You couldn't control the life of your show regulars if this is an airborne mutating virus. If they go this route I'm going to be seriously pissed.

My other guess is some sort of VHF(viral hemorrhagic fever) caused by rodents or arthropods(ticks, etc). I wonder if the deer that the kid thanked Daryl for bringing back played a roll? Maybe the deer had ticks?

On Talking dead afterwards they kinda addressed it. Nathan Fillion noticed the same as others about the sick hacking and coughing all over the shower water. Scott Gimple didn't give anything away, but nodded through much of what Fillion said and mentioned that the kid died.

I don't think it's supposed to be an airborne zombie virus. I took it as the kid got sick and died. Then came back a zombie. I think the pig dying was supposed to help illustrate there's some kind of sickness that's going to mess things up for them.
