The Walking Dead

The webisodes have been backstories on how a person became a walker, or as you said, what was going on with other people surrounding the main cast on the show. They are not going to do webisodes that involve the main characters. The cost would be huge. I hear that they are looking at possibly doing a webisode on "the back pack guy" who died in "Clear".

The only show that did shows that developed a character, was "The X-Files". They did my all-time favorite episode like that, "Musings of a Cigarette Smoking Man". It was a show dedicated to learning how Spender became the powerful man that he was and all of the things that he was involved in. They also did one on the Lone Gunman group.

I specifically said main characters. I know it won't happen, but it would be cool. The web-series have been pretty good, and the back-pack guy would be interesting to see.

I get that but you said they've done webisodes that give insight to backstories of various characters, when really they haven't, plus Orange said main characters.

While I like the webisodes, I wouldn't consider Bicycle Girl really even much of a character, and the second set had no connection to the main group at all.

As far as not using the main characters in the webisodes yes they probably won't, but it's not unheard of. Lost did webisodes that featured the main people. They don't have to feature the main characters but I do wish they tied into the main story better. The last ones had almost zero connection to anything on the show, other than it was a zombie outbreak.

in the webisodes, is the helicopter flying over Atlanta ever explained?

It wasn't a military one either, it looked like a private or a news chopper.

I wish they'd do an episode to show what happened during the month that Rick was asleep.

I thought this was brought up at some point in this thread before. Was Rick not just in a coma for a couple weeks? Nobody was tending to him nor feeding him and the last bag of saline he'd have had would have only lasted hours.

Not to mention walkers would have been all over the hospital, with only a bed blocking his door.

That chopper has never been mentioned again. I'm ok with that. There should actually be some occasional stuff that doesn't get explained every now and then.

Purple bunny rabbit in the prison yard? Guy wearing a plushy animal outfit mowing down zombies with an AK?
Scene cut to Carl strangling Beth to death for using the last of the toilet paper roll and not putting a new one on. Then we hear Carl say to Rick, "I had to make a choice, bi**h didn't clear".

I'm not saying absurd stuff. But hearing gunfire in the distance or smoke coming over the ridge. Evidence of other survivor groups. Stuff like that. It would make it a little more realistic but probably annoy viewers that have to know why everything that happens on camera happens.

Granted if the group saw a helicopter or plane fly over they would probably want to investigate.

In one of the webisodes about the bike lady there is a chopper in the air with a loudspeaker telling people where to go for safety, not sure if it is the same one.

I think MG was referring to the one that flew over ATL when Rick rode in on a horse. The bike girl webisode was about the first days of the outbreak so I doubt it was the same one.

I think they did show it again in the finale of season 2 in a flashback about what got the herd heading in the direction of the farm.

I guess it could have been the National Guard chopper from this season but it didn't seem like the same type of chopper.

AMC doesn't have it?

They will temporarily have season/mid season premier up but otherwise they are firmly in the pocket of the cable companies.

Netflix will get it about a week or two before the new season starts but other wise you won't find it on any "legit" streaming services.

Although you can purchase it on iTunes or Amazon if you like.

Speaking of the iTunes option, I would be willing to pay 99¢/ep in a rental format. Personally Im not big on owning movies or TV shows because I rarely watch a second time.
