The Walking Dead

To make this series epic, they need to end it next season. Then make millions off the spinoff and movies to follow.

The comic has lasted for over 100 issues. In fact #100 was the top selling comic the month it came out. That is unheard of for a B&W indie book. There is plenty of material to draw from. The short attention span of the audience during the mid season breaks is the only thing holding it back.

Books last longer than a series. Let it be great and end it strong. Short attention span has nothing to do with it. Becoming another drawn out TV drama is a fate unworthy IMO. Everybody dies in the end. No need for happy endings in a zombie drama. If it does, it sucks.

My guess is the Latino girl that was in the wall when Andrea asked where the Gov was.

This was my guess. Weren't the gov and the other guys gone by then?

I figured they were already gone at that point. I thought it was just some random un-important person. The Gov has several of his goons killed already. Martinez is about the only one I can think of that's still alive that's played a noticeable part.

One thing I find funny. These people are excellent marksmen with a pistol, but put a rifle in their hand with optics and they can't hit sh#t.

That whole gun fire exchange bothered me to no end. I think I even said out loud at the tv, "you people seriously can't hit shlt!"
It's like the producers wanted a good gun fight but very few casualties.

Noticed that Woodbury once manned their walls with men, but now they have women protecting their village walls.

I noticed the exact same thing.

Watched it frame by frame on DVR. Can't even tell if it is a woman. Kevlar vest on and a balaclava that is green. The build is small but could be a young kid.

I'd bet money it's a woman. And why were they the only person wearing a disguise?

I'm kinda ehh so far on the new half of the season

If you didn't jump ship when they ran around for 7 episodes looking for a dead girl you won't jump ship now.

Looks like Andrea is back also. She came back Michonne style with an armless jawless zombie on a pole. :)

Some of y'all are awfully fickle. There was nothing rave reviews for the mid-season finale. It's only been two episodes since the return and you're already talking about jumping ship?

This week was a character building episode that ended on a high note IMO.

Never said anything about not watching the show

It will go at least 6 seasons unless the show runner decide to end it. Breaking Bad is going 6 and Mad Men is going 7 and both of them don't anywhere near the ratings TWD get.

Sunday's episode, wow. I think Mearle is going to try and play nice for a little while, but in the end he tries to kill Rick and Daryl has to put him down.

I thought they were just good until 4? I admit I don't follow that closely

Kirkman needs to secure the rights to WWZ after the god awful film comes out, team up with Max Brooks, and then start a WWZ series on HBO.

I'm thinking Band of Brothers meets Walking Dead.

win.

Another theory - upon his return, Morgan provides new information about potential safe houses that sets the group up to escape the jail and the wrath of the Gub'ner.

If they don't kill the gov now, he will chase them till they are all dead.

He will die by the end of the season. How is the question. I don't think it's going to go down the way it did in the book. There is already too much variation. I'm thinking Glen gets the final blow.

Or maybe even Andrea.

My oldest son came in the room when we were watching last night and announced that the show has gotten awful and he will never watch it again. Me, being my Dad of The Year self said 'Yeah, but then you won't get to see people eating live flesh - good, and good FOR ya.' LOL OK, I have a weird sense of humor and readily admit it. :)

:eek:lol:

That sounds like something I would say to my kids.

if this was HBO, that baby would be dead and zombified already - lol

I said a WWZ HBO miniseries would be the best way to do it months ago. I believe it was in the WWZ thread. Maybe do 2-3 interviews an episode for around 10 episodes.

We can only dream at this point:hi:

The masked driver of the truck was a woman. I believe it was the woman who was on the wall. You could see that they had on the same shirt which was sticking out under the black uniform.

The Gov and Martinez were already gone at that point weren't they? That's what Milton was saying when he told Andrea the Gov went on a run for supplies.
