The Walking Dead

No way Daryl goes with his brother. He might be excited to see him at first but the reality that Merle treated him like crap and has also gotten to be even worse will open his eyes.

It's not happening anytime soon though. Merle will be in at least the next 4 episodes.

Agree on all points.

The thing about Carol is, every time she would talk the first 2 seasons was just depressing. Made her hard to like. I appreciate her struggles on a personal level, so i kind of pull for her. I remember the abusive husband because, the scene where they are washing clothes and he hit Carol. Shane beat the sh!t out of him, really the first time we saw a hint of "crazy" Shane.

I'm with you, it was a weird choice. Idk many people that like her character, may have been more of an attempt to push Daryl's softer side. Especially since a showdown with Merle is coming.

Yes! Do you think it was a hint of crazy Shane or Shane just giving a man an ass wooping he long deserved?

Agree on all points.

One thing I find interesting about Merle is that he knows how crazy the governor is. Merle is afraid of the governor. When he shot that kid last week he did it because if that kid ratted Merle out the gov probably would have killed him and Merle knew that.

I think it was a bit of both with Shane. The dude deserved his ass beat, but Shane beat him beyond submission. Then he looked at everyone with a crazed look and caveman walked off.

Was Merle afraid of the gov or Michonne? Was it fear that the gov would kill him, or fear that he would get sent back out to finish the job? He obviously wanted no part of Michonne.

Shhhhh, no more comic book spoilers. :ermm:

Is the cameo coming in the form of a live person, hallucination, or zombie form? Morgan?

Other than the setting of the prison and Woodbury the show has veered quite a bit from the comic already. It would be hard to spoil something from the comics alone.

Oh yes, maybe that beating birthed the crazy shane?

At that point Michonne was long gone in Merle's view. I think he was more afraid of the governor honestly. The governor is dead set on not letting anyone leave town, so set on it that he sent a posse after Michonne. He's got extremely strict rules and Merle screwing up a hunt that badly I'd say would land his own head in a jar.

I think crazy Shane was always there, but that was really the first time we saw him.

You're probably right about Merle, though I do think the gov would have went after Michonne. He doesn't want anyone threatening his kingdom, if you will. Can you imagine his reaction when Michonne shows up with Rick and company? Merle better not be close by.

I was thinking that when I saw that episode. Michonne is eventually going to be seen by the governor and I'm wondering how the governor reacts to being lied to? I also wonder what skills the governor has if any.

I'm guessing he won't react well to it. Idk he doesn't look like he can scrap, but you never know. Most crazy people can fight, guess we'll see soon. Michonne did take her sword from him pretty easy though.

wonder if the Governor was once warden of the prison Rick's group is currently calling home

That's an interesting thought. I would think he would have established the prison as his "town" from the beginning though. It would have been too easy of a base to start from with built in security, instead of spending time and energy building half put together fences.

...then again, logic and common sense don't seem to be really valued with much of this program.

This is the first season I have been into this series so I'm behind a bit. Can one of y'all tell me who that guy was talking to on the phone at the beginning of the episode?

Next week is gonna be a bloodbath. What or who does the Guvnah keep referring to? Is he saying Andrew, or their crew, or their group? I've heard him say it at least twice, but it wasn't clear and I'm at work so no DVR.

Ghosts of dead people past so to speak. Shane, Andrea's sister, Lori etc. In other words he was crazy.

If you didn't like Glenn before this episode, I bet you do now. He just shot in to my top 3 characters. Also Rick better watch himself, Michonne will kick that ass!

The soundtrack on this show is awesome. The effect (not the specifics) reminds me of Lost (before the Lost soundtrack was used on Alcatraz, Last Resort, etc.).
