The Walking Dead

i was pretty confident that Shane and Sophia's mom were gonna go to pound town when he washing her hands.

Ok I was wondering about the close out song in this episode. It sounded a little like Monster Magnet to me. But it wasn't It's by a band called Clutch and the songs called The Regulator. If you'd already heard of them, then good for you. I had not and listened to the a few of their songs. I think they sound good.

It was a very good show. The only people who were unhappy, are the very ones who think the show should be wall-to-wall zombies attacks and zombie pinata parties.

Yeah god forbid a show about surviving a zombie apocalypse actually have zombies in it. I'm unhappy because I took a nap for most of the episode and I didn't miss anything. Dale whining. Lori whining. Rick whining. Shane yelling. Lori still whining. Herschel flips out. Glen and Maggie arguing. Lori stilllll whining. Darrel saying something awesome. Lori whining again. Herschel hitting the bottle. Lori whining/crashing car. Rick finally doing something awesome. Boom. Episode. Did I miss anything? Oh yeah....zombies.

I'm not terribly unhappy with the show. I enjoy it for the most part. I just think it trudges along at an excruciatingly slow pace at times with little to no character or plot development happening. Last night's episode was hardly an exception to that too until the very end.

See this is exactly the problem.

All this show had to do was stay somewhat true to the source material of the comics and it would be heralded as one of the greatest shows on TV. The comics had character development, tension, plot movement, zombies, and more.

Instead they are adding stupid subplots (i.e. Sofia, the Latinos from s1, the CDC, Merle) that do absolutely nothing for the story.

I don't think Lori dies or loses the baby though I may wrong. More likely then not some walkers find her and at just the right time Rick, Glen, and Hershel drive up and save the day.

As many have said that last scene was awesome.

I agree about Sophia(even though I thought the way that situation ended was cool), the latinos, and the CDC but I don't think we're done with Merle and could see his return being pretty interesting.

The barn scene was straight from the comics, minus Sophia of course.

I know but I feel like the way Sophia came out of the barn last and the way Rick handled it was what made the scene special. Otherwise it's just the group killing a pack of zombies (nothing really exciting about that)

But Merle, as a plot device, is not needed. There are plenty of villains in the source material. No need to invent a new one

As I said for the most part I agree. I think they may be straying a little too far from the comics. With that said I feel like if they didn't create news characters and plot lines I don't think it would be as interesting.

If the previews are and indication of what is going to happen tonight, all hell is going break loose.

I can't wait. What's going to kill me is no one at work watches this show so I don't have anyone I can talk to about it. UGH!!! they all suck lol

That's why you have us. :)

Have you suggested to anybody to start watching it? My son is actually the one who got me started watching it last year. One episode and I was completely hooked!!
