I agree the first half of the season probably could've been done in about 4 episodes instead of 7. I still love the show though.

Damn, those last 5 minutes were good. Pretty solid episode. Got pretty stupid during them middle portion of the episode.

"Somebody needs to go get Hershel."

5 minutes later.

"Somebody needs to go get Rick"

Oh and Lori managed to hit the one moving thing on a desolate country road, I mean come on. Stupid.

But yeah, so glad the Sophia plot is over and done.

the show will be better if Lori is dead. she is effing worthless. first, she *****es about rick going to get Hershel b/c it's too dangerous. then, after arguing that the trip is too dangerous, she asks Darrell to go by himself to get Rick, glen, and Hershel. Darrell says no, so dumbass Lori takes one of the few operating vehicles and sets out without telling anybody. finally, she crashes the damn car b/c she is incapable of reading a map (remember she was looking at it upside down, then turned it right side up, then crashed). hopefully, Carl got all of rick's common sense genes. otherwise, he won't be around much longer like his mom (fingers crossed)

Bingo. This was, for the most part, a solid episode. The scene with the two shady guys at the bar and most of the emotional scenes worked for me.

But it's these moments of utter stupidity that have the potential to ruin this show for me. Lori was completely against Rick going to find Hershel in town. So whats the mother of the year to do when he leaves anyways? Naturally, she goes out looking for him an hour later on her own and manages to hit the one thing that is in the road because she is momentarily distracted to view the map.

Dumb and/or lazy writing to advance the plot.

It was a very good show. The only people who were unhappy, are the very ones who think the show should be wall-to-wall zombies attacks and zombie pinata parties.

Darrell is the man and will/should be the only one to survive this show. The rest are going to be eaten.
