The Walking Dead

I completely agree they've drug this sophia plotline out about 3 episodes longer than they should've. They need to listen to shane and just move on.

I wouldn't have waited that long, I'd left as soon as the walkers were gone. Forget helping find someone's kid, its all about surviving.

Guess ill continue watching since they didnt really search for the girl this episode. The end of this episode has kept me interested

The last twenty minutes were intense. I would agree with you rocky if all they did was search for the girl but there is a lot of character development happening.

-Shane's continue descent to the anti-Rick
-Andrea learning to shoot a gun
-The whole pregnancy angle (So that isn't what the CDC doc told Rick. You see his reaction?)
-Carl growing up literally in one episode. Wanting more responsibility and a gun.
-Maggie and Glen's relationship (And Nearly Headless Nick Walker was awesome)
-Dale showing that he doesn't miss a beat with the inner workings of the group.
-Herschel's whole reasoning for the barn.
-WHERE IS THE F'N GIRL?

A lot of important traits are being introduced.

We are getting ready to see a civil war between members of the group. Could the losers will be fed to the walkers in the barn?

So with next week being the "midseason finale" i'm guessing we won't see any more new eps until after the new year.

Hopefully the pace in this picks up soon. The start of the season was amazing, but it's been painfully slow in parts lately. There's still some character development going on, but we're moving at a snails pace right now.

I feel exactly opposite. The first three episodes of this season was painful but the past few have been very intense.

People seem to forget that this is a drama that happens to have zombies in it, not Left 4 Dead the tv show. Tonights episode was great in developing the characters. Without it, future actions would make no sense.

And yeah, the next half is supposed to start back in Feb.

they need to find that girl, that's getting old. I love the show, i just wished they'd find the girl and move on.

Last nights episode was good but you can really tell that they are taking a story that was meant to be told in 6 episodes and stretching it to 13.

Guys the show is not just about killing zombies and watching zombie brains and zombie guts flying around.

The show is getting more interesting because we are learning more and more about the characters in the show and how they think. There will be even more stress on the characters than there already is very shortly.

Does the show ever get into the disease and how it started?

Also kind of sucks they never followed up on the father and son from the first episode.

We're not idiots, we know that the show is about the characters and not blatant zombie gore. That being said, what have we really learned about our characters this year? Not a whole lot considering there have been six episodes and the only interesting people on the show are Shane and Daryl.

The plot is moving at a glacial pace and none of the characters are really being developed. I still like the show and will continue to watch it I just hope that the show runners and holding back until the 2nd half.

When Glen found the walkers in the barn, I was hoping that Maggie was going to push him in so that something exciting would happen.

She can't do that, she needs to get laid again.

I do like that Maggie's opinion about walkers has already started to change since they almost got her in the pharmacy.

I think the show is finally starting to build up for a strong 2nd half. My guess is that whatever happens next week caused the group to leave the farm. Oh and I agree that they find Sophia next week. Whether or not she is alive is a different story.

Maggie strikes me as the kindof girl that's been lonely for awhile. So lonely, in fact, that her horse has looked mighty good, ifyaknowwhatimsayin.

I knew season 2 was 13 episodes but I wasn't aware it was gonna be split up. Gay. I suppose come February when we have new episodes I'll be glad they did it.

Also a few thoughts

1. I'm also extremely curious what Jenner told Rick now. Having read the comics I had no doubt that's what he told him. Wonder how long til we find that out.

2. I really liked the housing development part in the comics. Kinda disappointing they breezed by it in like 2 minutes. I was hoping they'd make an episode out of it.

3. Wasn't a huge Dale fan in the comics but I'm loving his character in the show.

4. Also find Sophia or don't for gods sake

As a reader of the comics, none of these criticisms irk me. Not trying to be rude, but the comics required a certain degree of patience. While the show's plot is WAY different, the template seems to stay the same. Stick with it folks. Major plot elements come together at the most random moments with this story.
