Scott Gimple said on TTD, that they came back and shot those scenes late un the season, a full month after Herschel was killed off.

you know, if someone has a grill full of meat that long after the outbreak I might question it pretty quick. That never seemed to enter into anyone's mind as they accepted the plate

Especially when you think about the fact that they had all been hunting the same area with little to no success.

I am not going to lie i like finales that lose characters
inflow and outflow is necessary

Also i get sick of TWD throwing out my favorite characters and then not touching the fan faves
(Obviously they have to pander to the majority but at least make the ratio a bit evener)

Disagree completely that changing characters is necessary if you're telling a good story.

Who are your favorites vs. fan favorites?

Fan faves- Rick (least favorite by far) carl (have gone back and forth with but would say more toward dislike atm) daryl (like a lot actually but would accept him gone just to prove they are willing to ax a fave) Glenn (eh)

My Faves they have killed off- Amy, Dale, Andrea, Lizzie (I know i am going to get crap for the last two)

I've seen Amy listed as a favorite by many people before. Never understood how her maybe 20 minutes of screen time was enough for anybody to care one way or the other. I mean when you really think about it, the most significant thing she did, by far, was die.

Not trying to belittle one of your choices, just can't say I understand it.

I've heard that as well, it was just kind of an instant attraction where as some characters grow on you

My bad. This was a conversation I shouldn't have started, but I sincerely appreciate your answer. Your answer just makes no sense to me.

I know Carl gets on a lot of people's nerves. I don't know if that it is the actor that plays him, or the character. (He gets on my nerves as well)

I consider Rick a pivotal part of the story. He was a law enforcement officer. The change happened while he was out. I think his perception and reaction to the events are one of the most unique they have.

I don't see the point in killing Daryl off just to prove something to the audience. I don't get your line of thinking on that one.

I'm not sure who Amy is. I don't remember her.

Dale was a good guy, but so was Herschel. In the scheme of the show, being a good guy doesn't mean anything at all.

Andrea, she was a good soul. And her death showed that fact wasn't enough to keep you alive.

Amy is Andrea's sister from season 1 who subsequently dies that same season (Andrea nearly dies as well but Dale saves her)

We seem to agree on Dale and Carl to some degree

Daryl if i am thinking unselfishly is dumb to kill of in the grand scheme but would ease my frustration with not killing a favorite

Rick is the only part i disagree to a strong extent with you, While Rick is a centerpiece to the story, it isn't like the story would just die if he did as well. I don't like a person who tries to lead with an undeserved right to the spot and then who often fails or goes insane trying to do so

So, Amy who was a effectively a bystander in the first season was one of your favorite characters? What about her made her one of your favorites?

Well early on she stuck up for Carol when she needed it that was i guess the one event if i had to pick one though overall i just liked her personality

I'm not sure how you can have a story without the two characters that the entire comic/TV show is about...

You should definitely change your method for picking your favorite characters.

Lizzie and Andrea man? Lizzie was completely crazy and a ticking time bomb that in fact went off. I didn't read the comics but I've heard in the comics Andrea's character was really good and apparently the writers failed to get her right in the tv show or they deliberately wanted to take her in the opposite direction. The decisions she made and the actions she took were completely fickle and annoying. Her character in the show seemed very nice and sweet but she was out right annoying and mostly useless to the core group.

Carl... I just don't get, don't think I ever have. If anybody needs to lose a hand in this show it's Carl. The sad part about it though is that Rick is just getting back to being a badass so anything you do to Carl is just going to be bad for two characters. When Rick tore into that guys neck I couldn't have cared less what Carl thought about it.

But this is cool, becaue now when I want to know who is going to die next I'm going to ask you who your current favorites are. :)
