I honestly think the offense and defense is going in different directions. Chavis has stepped his defense up. They looked good to me yesterday. The rumor to fire Chavis is ridiculous based on the overall season. His guys were after people all day yesterday, blitzing, etc. Fulmer and Clawson both need to go, no Wavey Chavey, he's stepped up IMO.

I believe georgia and bama have better offenses than anyone we've played so far. Our defense will have their hands full in both of those games. I'am already having visions of bama running downhill on us repeatedly.

The last few years, it's always been either the offense OR the defense. They seem incapable of putting a team together where they're good on all sides of the ball.

I was generally pleased with the Defense yesterday. I did, however, see a lot of sloppy tackling that needs to improve. My concern is the ineffective offense. (To call the offense ineffective is probably the understatement of the day)
If Georgia and Alabama don't completely overlook us as just another of their doormat games and actually prepare to stop us, we may not get across the 50 yard line on offense in either of those upcoming games.

Chavis needs to go. He cost us the UCLA game moreso than Crompton. How quickly we forget playing 20 yards off of the WR's for UCLA in the nd half, and allowing the 9th string QB to come back from 4 int's in the first half, to looking like Troy Aikman in the 2nd.

We played off the WR for AU on 3rd and 5, and they make the 1st down. Ballgame. AU's offense is as inept, if not worse, than ours. Our D played well, but let's see how we do against UGA and Bama.

Buy Chavis a new Mustang, and let him ride off into the sunset.

They all need to ride off into the sunset. Even the waterboy.

Maybe Chavis and Fulmer could open a sportsbar, like a Dave & Buster's. John & Phil's.

i gotta admit that chavis did a marvelous job yesterday. and i've been calling for his head for several years now. but, why is it that it seems to take him three or four games each year to find his groove?
