The Vols can beat Missouri if they play the way they did against Kentucky, it wont be easy because Missou is a tough team, but they can win this game.
I would love to beat Missouri because of no other reason than Derlick Dooley and what he did to UT
(or didn't do)
Go Vols Beat Missouri

Sure they can beat Missouri and I hope they do and beat Vandy also. It's just been a roller coaster of a season so I don't know either way. Depends on which team shows up.

Delusional, did you not see the Florida game? The UTEP game? The Charlotte game? They got lucky at Auburn and with Kentucky, both were anomalies. We gonna get an Epic curb stomping Saturday. And next Saturday too, Vandy owns Tennessee.

Seems like you are having a great Monday morning!

I think we'll score some points on them. They'll be harder to defend than Kentucky because they can spread you out and do both. They're like West Virginia in a lot of ways. It's a winnable game though.

There seems to be some reverse psychology going on here. As long as you pull for the bad guys, the good guys win. Keep up the good work.

I know this is a BIG IF but if Darrelle Taylor can produce half of what he produced against UK and Auburn we have a chance. Luckily this week we don't face a Dual Threat we can only hope our pass rush keeps it up

If UT can win the line again on both sides of the ball they have a good chance to win the game. We just don't have the offense with JG to win a shootout so it is going to rely heavily on the defense.

While I do think our secondary has improved dramatically since Will Grier picked them apart in the first game we are still vulnerable to a good QB. My worry is Drew Locke will find success and our offense still is not quite where it needs to be to put up the type of points needed to outscore Mizzou if it comes down to an offensive footrace. If we win I think it will need to be a tremendous effort not only by our young secondary but also by our experienced front seven applying pressure to Locke and creating forced throws.

I think if we score more points than them we got a good chance to win.

A good thunderstorm deluge with winds around 70mph would enhance our homefield advantage. Seriously hamper their passing attack at least. Of course then we have the turnover disadvantage as we'll be guaranteed to lose 3 or 4 fumbles. But alas that wind and muddy wet field could enable us to finally recover an onside kick.

I think the Vegas line is solid but we definitely have a chance to pull the upset off.

Depends on what team shows up. If we can manage to put some pressure on Lock with the front 4 then we have a shot. Its one of those if we can run the ball on them like pretty much everyone has all year long then we can shorten the game a little and eat up some clock. I know we can throw the ball on them.

TJ Moe (sp) was on The Nation last night and talked about how horrible Mizzou’s pass defense is. Said their secondary is awful. If true, we should be able to score with Calloway, Jennings and Ty. I think we win by 10.

I'll take that bet, actually already have with the point spread. We played well. The only anomalies were the 4 florida fumbles, and the refs giving South Carolina the game. We went into the Charlotte game unmotivated, that's it. DIdn't prepare all week like we should cause it was a cupcake team. Happens all the time. That has been corrected just as many other things have. We are winning out, period.

This season has been a up and down roller coaster. So, I'm sitting here Saturday waiting on UT to give up and get stomped in the last half of game and lo and behold this team seemed to get stronger and stronger with confidence I have not witnessed all season. Keep up the good work Vols.....You make me proud!!!!!! GBO

The key (again) is going to be QB pressure. If you look at our 2 big wins-- Kentucky and Auburn-- the common denominator was the play of our front 7. We were crawling up the QB's *@# all day. Our coverage is good enough when we get pressure, which is a little surprising to say now when you think back to pre-season and how we were all concerned about our CB situation...

“...with JG”. Lol. Yeah, he’s the issue. You can’t make this ish up.
