The VN workout thread!

Personally I love the 4 sets of ten with low to medium weight. I do...

Monday...chest and quad
Tuesday....bicep and back
Wed....off
Thurs....Chest and quad
Friday...Tri and hami

abs, calfs, and run everyday.

I have been doing it this summer and have maintained my under 10% body fat.

note: never do the same exercise twice a week. like Monday chest is bench, and thurs is incline.

dumbbells or elastic bands, pull up bar, and a great attitude(plz note sarcasm). seriously tho u might wanna get a yoga mat. it's def worth it if u wanna get lean

From your experience would it be a good program for my wife to do as well? She is already very lean and afraid of getting bulky. Did you quit going to the gym during the program?

ya it's def something ur wife can do, and yes while doing p90x u don't need to go to the gym, trust me u get enough of a workout in that you don't need anything else

I remember us having a conversation last summer about working out and we seemed to be similar in strength, so I was wondering what weight db's did you use?

i actually have the bowflex dumbbells, that way you can change it to the weight that best suites you.

I would need something with more weight than those little toys you call Bowflex dumbbells...:aggressive:

Are their any alternatives to Myoplex out their,as I am trying to avoid the carbs and sugars.

These are very good, there is still some carbohydrates, but no sugar.

started running again today and my old joints are feeling it. I need to get a bike

i redshirted my 3rd year in college due to having a few knee surgeries. arthritis was already set up in my knee when i had the 2nd surgery, to correct the botched previous surgery. so in all honesty i haven't been able to run long distances for ex. .5 of a mile or more with out my knee flaring up. i can run sprints all day but not long distances.

that's the same boat I'm in. Both knees have had the acl replaced but the one giving me trouble had a bunch of cartilage removed. Of course it was 13yrs ago so it may be time for a clean-up.

Of course it could be my body screaming at me for carrying all this extra weight around :)

a friend of mine is doing p90x and says it great but kicks her butt.

made it thru another run today and the knee feels much better. Another few months and I should be on track
