The VN Recipe Thread

He'd eat some of what I cooked and then go get a snack. Then a couple hours later he'd get another........

It's just gonna be a long process. Even if u never change his habits u are developing a new way of life for you.

I have never met one person that didn't like that rice and very few that didn't like garlic.

FWIW. I'm happy you had an open mind and tried it. Other than it being under cooked, how did you like it? Did you put onions in it? How did the chicken turn out?

FWIW I absolutely loved it, thank you for telling me about it and helping me cook it. All of it wasn't crunchy either. Thanks Behr :hi:

About the tater, is all I have to do is wash it off, wrap it in a paper towel and pop it in the microwave? Dad mentioned something about poking a hole in it.

At least he had an answer, I was just being a smartass. Kats right, it doesn't matter unless you leave it in there way too long. I never "fork'em" and never had one blow up. I have blown one up on purpose to see how long it would take though. About 16 minutes. It was a medium sized potato and a commercial microwave.

lulz, I think Kat said 8 minutes apiece, so it should be okey doke.

I've always poked a hole in them. Somewhere, sometime was told to do it and just automatically do it. I really don't know if it is necessary. usa, you need to experiment with one potatoe the size you would normally use. Different times for different microwaves. I haven't done one in the mc in awhile, but mine does one medium to large potatoe in 4 minutes. The time it takes to do one, will need to be lengthened if you're doing more than one. Probably 2-3 minutes for each additional one.

I'm going to put them in one at a time, so I don't mess anything up. I think the microwave has a "bake tater" button.

Kat, I know you said to bake the chicken and I don't want to hurt your feelings but, these pieces are really small and I'm afraid they'll burn in the oven. Will it be ok if I just fry them?

I just didn't want you to think I was dissing your advice Kat, I really appreciate all your help
