on tonight's game. 1. The first half is the best 20 minutes of basketball ever played by a Tennessee team. 2. There are several guys in tonight's game who will play in the NBA. However, Ramar Smith will be the only one to play in an All Star Game. He got a rebound in traffic with about 3 minutes to go that was as good a play as I have seen all year. 3. Great game, Dane Bradshaw. We would not have won without him. 4. Joakim Noah better enjoy his first NBA contract. He won't get a second one. 5. Book it. UT will play in the 2008 Final Four. 6. Florida has no chance of repeating. There are two kinds of defending champs. One is the kind that lives for challenges like tonight and shows their greatness. The other is one that becomes self satisfied and soft. Florida is the latter.

Agreed on all points

I hope UT sticks around and plays in 2008! :)

Seriously... I'm guessing you're in a hurry, but did you possible mean to finish that with 'Final Four'?

LOL! - I was thinking, heck, I don't know much b-ball, but I could make that prediction! Don't know about all of your points, Hat, but I do think you're right on with the last one.

If Chism didn't get in early foul trouble, he would have had a very nice game..(People forget he had 19 against them last time) He stuffed Noah and Horford early in the game.. Hit a 3, got a couple of dunks and rebounds before the fouls poured in.. He has a chance to be the best freshmen of the bunch.. Duke, Ramar, and Wayne have a chance to build a special future.

I think sweet 16 is a possibility this year. We are defidently peaking at the right time.
I agree. Last year at this time, we were starting to slump but this year we appear to be hitting our stride. Maybe we will see some fireworks come tourney time.

Thought so. Take'er easy, hat. Great points, as usual.

Agree about Chism... really think he was on his way to having a huge game. Those blocks against Noah and Horford on the same possession were rather fantastic, even if it ended up in a foul. Kinda set the tone early, I guess you could say.

Best part about this game is Lofton didn't have to go crazy and take 20 somethin shots like he did against Memphis, Texas, and Okie State. Now we have other options, and other offensive weapons. Lofton's passing has defidently improved though.

Love to hear talk of 2008 Final Four, but the NCAA tournament takes a good draw and sometimes luck to make it. We should be solid next year.

Hat, what is your prediction on our record/ tourney seeding next year?

Just got back myself (past my bedtime -- good thing tomorrow's a half-day). What a game, and especially a first 20 minutes.

What's amazing is that we DIDN'T get home-cookin' from the refs, we DIDN'T hit our free throws down the stretch, we DIDN'T get the big guys in too serious of foul trouble until the very end. . . .and still won fairly handily.

I'm pretty certain that nobody in the country could have beaten us tonight.

Anyone who had to watch on TV -- you really missed a dandy in person. The most amazing atmosphere I've witnessed at the Tommy.
