Saban is retiring end of the season. Even if we lose Saturday, it's clear that Tennessee is being resurrected. However, we're not the sole reason Saban is scooting. Texas A&M has already served notice, they will make the West uncomfortable for Bama. Texas will do the same. Georgia has shown they are threat for the SECC. The return of Tennessee is the final stake driven into Satan Saban's vamp heart. Added to this, the NIL removes the advantage of Saba's under table, paying high level players to play for Bama. Leach and Kiffin in the West makes things even harder. This is Sababy's last rodeo.

I hope you are correct. Alabama has a way over the past decade of looking down and out only to come out and play their best games and roll onto playoffs and usually a National Title.

I never doubt Saban based on history.

Saban did not prosper in the NFL trying to motivate men who already had money. He was wildly successful building kids into men with the motivation they will make money

Now that these kids can make money, I believe he will face similar issues he had in the NFL

Do you really think Saban is scared of Texas A&M or Texas? He's been dealing with LSU, Florida and Georgia for the better part of his time at Alabama who have all been much scarier than either of those programs as they currently exist.

The only argument Saban would retire would be he's just done and wants to ride off into the sunset as the greatest coach of all time. I don't see it.

This has been discussed multiple times since the "Saban is leaving for Texas" rumors, and that was 10 years ago.

Besides, he's too stubborn to retire at this point in his career.

I didn't say where he is going, I just said he's leaving. He ain't going nowhere, he will retire. And that's my opinion, if you don't like it, I have others.

I don’t think he’s much more than 2 years away from retiring. He’s pretty old, and I agree he wants to go out a winner, not waiting for a season that Bama isn’t playing for an SEC championship. The NIL stuff is going to level the playing field for the bigger schools in the SEC and he knows it. He’s on borrowed time of Bama being one of the top 2 teams in the SEC every year.

There is nothing about A&M that is injecting fear or leveling the playing field. Bama was without their Heisman QB and A&M's former starter started. If anything A&M will regress once OU and Texas enters the SEC. That is one advantage A&M had over those two when it left the BIG12.

While I think the league has gotten better than 5-6 years ago, I don't think Saban's grip is loosening.... There are still only 1-2, maybe 3 teams that are capable of going toe to toe with them. That number grows once Bryce is out.

LOL... I doubt he's afraid of Jimbo. He is already in the Mark Richt level of wasting talent.

If Saban retires it will be because Saban doesn't want to do it any more. The most impressive thing about him is that when he has seen CFB starting to change... he's gotten ahead of the change and succeeded. He did it with D then shifted to O.

I do think his retirement will coincide with his perception that Bama is going to have a lull in talent. I don't think he will be like Fulmer and risk not going out on top.

He mentored Jimbo and Sark. I mean dang every good coach today has worked under him. His coaching tree is as impressive as his record at Alabama.

Not sure at the end of this year but won't be more than 3 more years and mainly for the reasons you describe. He's enjoyed a tremendous player talent advantage for ~15 years and that's changing fast.

Personally, I hope he hangs on a few more years til Heupel can kick his @ss and straight up out coach him a few times. Til we aren’t even worried about Saban any more. Til we start saying “man poor Saban needs to hang it up, this is getting embarrassing”.

Men like Sabam don’t retire at his age and health!! I wish you could bet on this because I would wager more than I did on the LSU game!! Unless Saban has health issues we have a few more seasons of him on the sidelines

Based on that the first 7 words of your post have no credible evidence to back it up , I didn’t read the rest.
