Not that any of this is anything more than rumors let me add to them, last year I was leaving McGee Tyson airport.. I happen to start a conversation with a couple that was as they discribe ND alumi "Good Friends of Meyer" they said "If Tebow hadnt returned Meyer would have taken the job last year" that bought Coach Weis another year. So I agree, if they win the BCS whats left here. ND is ready to hock the Gold Dome for Urban, what keeps him at UF with them rebuilding coaching staff, Offense, and Defense.

If the question were put to you, coach at Florida or Indiana........which would you choose? I think it's a no brainer. Great weather, breat players to choose from.....Meyer would be stupid to leave and have to rebuild a ND program. They have NO defense, All the OL are leaving and probably his QB will be going pro.

I'm just happy that we have a coach who is so intimidating to our rivals, that they are practically praying for him to take another job.

Good for us.

This is just smoke and mirrors; he does not want distraction from preparing for the Florida State game and the fact of the matter he has prospects coming this weekend.

The bigger assurance that he is not interested at the ND job would be at the SEC Championship Game which has much more attention that having a presser at Florida. Les Miles did it to shutdown all those bound to Michigan reports.

Let me warn you guys. ND's AD is not going to back down that easily because he knows he can't afford to hire another up and comer; since this is a different one compared to the one that hired Weis, this is technically his first big hire. I don't expect the Irish's brass and fans to accept this presser as they would rather have him hold a live presser at a big event than on UF's property.

ANYthing coming out of the CUM camp at this point is pure PR. Doesn't mean a thing. It may turn out he stays ( i hope he does) or it may turn out he goes.

A rival game, a BCS game, and their recruiting class are their focus. If hes not proactive about it (truthful or not) it allows a lot of conjecture and with so many top notch recruits up for grabs, 'that's not happening'.

Urban would be CRAZY to go to ND. He would have absolutely nothing to gain, IMO. HE has a cake job right now.....most fertile recruiting ground in the country and he has a strangle hold on it. I dont see ND paying Weis' buyout, Urban's buyout at FL, AND giving him the hefty raise he would require to make the switch. Not going to happen unless Urban is even dumber than I think. With UT on the rise, I WANT Urban at FL when we win our next SEC and National Title....it would make it that much sweeter. No doubt money talks, and ND may be able to pay him a million or so more per year than UF will.....but he would be nuts to leave what he has.

meyer wont go to nd, and if he did i think strong would be made the head coach(which means we miss out on luc).

Honestly think it would be a mistake to promote Charlie Strong. I don't think he's a bad coach because who knows how good of a head coach he his - but the UF job an elite job and he would need to prove himself somewhere first.

ND is his dream job. if he really covets the position, then nothing else will matter. his job is not going to be cake once he loses Tebow. Tebow is a once in a lifetime player.

I know. How many times do we have to see this type thing before people get the point? If a coach's mouth is moving, he is probably lying when it comes to interest in other job openings. I find it hilarious that Florida fans think he is suddenly some saint who is above reproach when he has a history of lying then bolting for higher profile jobs. And yes ND is a higher profile job, national relevance even when they suck, historical relevance, a bigger national fanbase than anywhere else, and wasn't this supposedly Meyer's dream job?

Weis' buyout will be $18M and it will be paid unless Weis agrees to take less for some unfathomable reason.

Meyer's buyout is a token $0.5M...peanuts.

UF doesn't structure large buyouts for it's coaches. If they don't want to be there, Foley doesn't want to hold them back.

In ~ 30 days, this should all be settled as well as Charley Strong's future destination. All prior to EE's making the final decision.
