This is another problem. Girls always gettin' knocked up and messing with the roster. Unreliable.

I'd still think having your most reliable catcher and thrower at first and someone that knows exactly where the play is would assist on greatly at lower levels.

I guess if you're fine with playing lazy, uninspired softball, all the first baseman has to do is catch. It's still a pretty important job, though, because 70% of the outs will happen at 1st. 29% will be pop-outs. 1% will be my unassisted triple plays.
