This is false

Not according to the last 2 columns in the link provided.

But lets give it a little margin for error and say he accomplished it 2 maybe even 3 times.

I'm still not impressed.

Factor in his career win loss record of 134 - 83

That is roughly 7.4 wins and 4.6 loss average per year (lets be generous again a and up that to 8-4)

I give that a resounding #### NO!!!

Look at his 2008 season at Tech. Was number 2 for a few weeks and beat the number one team. He has the best season ever at Tech and at WSU. Not that this fits some people’s narrative, but he literally is the best coach ever at 2 different lowly schools that have historically been bad. Who knows what he could do at a traditional school, but he should get a chance.

And he lost to Ole Miss in the cotton bowl and finished 12th.

LOL. Seriously, you’re still arguing even though you were wrong. When is the last time we finished 12 or beat a number one team. Not to mention he has been at Tech and WSU. Pretty good that he could turn those 2 programs around.

No to Mike "Seven on seven football" Leach. That's not football. If you can foresee a game and tell me the score will be 52-50 then I won't watch it. Not fit to watch. I'll take old tyme football anytime over this liberal up and down the field crap.

Leach has always done more with less. Can you imagine what he can do with more?

Have you ever been to a dirt track race. Those guys take beat up cars that they probable have a few thousand dollars in and slide them around the track like pin balls all night. Takes mad skill to pull that off no doubt.

Put them in a 100,000 dollar NASCAR ride and you might get a real expensive repair bill with nothing to show for it but a few thousand dollars from the crusher at the recycle joint.

I can imagine that.

Yes seriously and there is no argument click the link

And since you brought it up UT in same time span has been in the top ten 7 times. 3 times in the top 5.

Leach is not an SEC coach he knows this that is why he turned it down. All the tears in this thread will not change it. Its past your bed time.

Your link does not help your case any, in fact it goes against your claims if anything.

The anti-Leach crowd are complete idiots. Total and complete. You should be embarrassed and stop watching football because you know 0 about it. Washington State is a worse program historically than Vanderbilt and had won 9 total games in the 5 years before he got there. Leach is a brilliant coach that excels above any beyond anything the programs he takes over have ever seen. He won 58-7 yesterday with his 3rd starting QB in the last 3 seasons. Once again, they were coming off a stretch of 9 wins in 5 years, averaging less than 2 wins per season, and he won 11 games last year and is in the top 25 again this year. He had similar results at Texas Tech, who is at best the 4th or 5th best program in Texas.

The whole state of TN has an overwhelming problem with trying to stay as conservative as possible and always to its own detriment. The program has made, what now, four lukewarm and very conservative coaching hires. I don’t know if it’s a booster problem or an administration problem or both but I can only assume that they want someone low-key, traditional, and unwilling to rock the boat.

Of course, Leach is none of those things so he’ll never be hired and the program can continue to waste away accordingly.

I thought Mike Leach should have been hired when Kiffin left a literal dumpster fire.
Collectively, Volnation responded with "wrong temperament, never fit in the SEC, wrong style of play, just got fired from T.T., too soon..."
UT hired Dooley

Then I suggested Leach again, in 2012. Volnation wanted Jon Gruden and was even convinced Gruden would be the coach, until Butch Jones was hired.

The U.T. A.D. was on a plane headed to talk to Leach when he was fired mid-flight. Then Fulmer hired Pruitt.

At this point, I think that Pirate Ship has sailed.

It's amazing how one bad loss creates a new post with THIS title. It's like everybody forgot Pruitt and Co. outcoached Auburn and Kentucky last year. Bad losses happen, don't throw in the towel so easily. This loss put half of this whiny board on their heels. If the players had the fortitude that you guys have we would never win a game. Thank God, that's not the case.
