Yeah.Look how many times he came back to Ut after stints with the Military.I know he was a West Point Grad you idiot.David Cutcliff is a Bama grad but he is more a Tennessee man than a Bama man.Look how long he coached here.
You make absolutely no sense at all

Yes i did.But what does that have to do with anything. He coached the majority of his career at UT.Which makes him more of a UT man.Go and see what your Hokies are doing please.Thank you.:whistling::whistling::whistling::whistling:
So take us back to before Neyland was hired as an assistant here and you are the one making the hires. You wouldnt hire him because at that point he wasnt a "Tennessee man".

I know just as much about the General & UT history as anybody on here does.Have a book on him i bought at Mckays on Lee highway in Chattanooga.I am just as big a fan as any of you are.Infact i bet maybe only a handfull of have been to more games than me.
Was it a paperback or hardback? Only a true fan would buy the hardback.

If we had the opportunity to hire Saban, our fans would hate it because he was the coach at Alabama.

Seriously guys? The rivalries shouldn't run so deep that we willingly hire Fulmer to help academics and any shrivel of compliance respect we had left to swirl down the toilet.

Nobody can please you people on here. They need to have boards for people who want to post their opinions. And boards for people who want to argue.I come on here and post my opinion and get fussed at.What a crock of Bs.It's okay for some of u to post and not others.WHAT CRAP.

You can post whatever you want as long as it doesn't violate board rules.

However, if you post stupidity, you can get ridiculed for it as long as it doesn't violate board rules.

A Bama grad should not run UT athletics.

Yeah and David Cutcliffe wouldn't have been well-received as our head coach. I'm getting a degree from UT but if I got offered a job at Bama in accounting I'm not going to try to screw them over...and why not you ask? How could I possibly control my hatred for them and not burn the place down as soon as I got there? BECAUSE THEY GAVE ME A JOB AND THEY WOULD BE PAYING ME.

Dave Hart is a cheating scum bag. He's a complete tool and will ruin the AD, especially basketball.

Honestly, everyone complaining because he's a 'bama grad sounds like a five year old who's throwing a tantrum. Do you realize how stupid you sound?

Bama fans are quite possibly the only other football fans in the country who really understand the traditions at UT. Let's get real here, the best man for the job doesn't always necessarily come from here. The days of the good ole' boys at Tennessee are over. Give the guy a chance before you pass judgement on him. Quite a few significant figures in Tennessee sports history that would never have their status as a Vol questioned were once newcomers from somewhere else also, just remember that.

Basketball has already tried its best to kill itself so unless you have some facts to add to the conversation instead of just spouting nonsense about someone then stop posting

Only Tennessee men or women should be considered.Just my opinion.A gator and a bammer running Tennessee. The Great General Neyland must be rolling over in his grave. What a sad day.

Yeah, Neyland, who was athletic director and not a UT grad, would really be rolling over in his grave about another non-UT grad ascending to the helm.

Hahaha.

I also love the cheating accusations and uproar over the hire... while we are on probation.

I think stuff like this was more important in the past. I know we are talking about athletic directors , but take SEC coaches for example. Alot of head coaches use to be players at the school they coached at. As of 2011 , only one coach actually played for his alma mater. That would be Joker Phillips. Around the country it's pretty much the same. Very few. Frank Beamer , Rick Neuheisel , Pat Fitzgerald , Mike Gundy and a few more that I can't name. As far as athletic directors , I'd say the numbers today would be around the same. I think if you can find someone inside the family that is qualified , great! The chances of that are likely slim and in this day and age you hire who is right for the job , or atleast attempt to.
