The Trump tax return "scandal"

On the broader issue, when I used to vote I never recall looking at a candidates income tax records (if they released them). What's the percentage of likely voters who consider tax records germane?

Find that in their individual tax returns?

No, but if Trump has taken deductions for charitable donations to benefit Veterans I would likely support him. If you had a dog in the hunt you would know who is who on Veterans issues. Trump just doesn't have a public record. His return would be very helpful.

Trump needs to tell HiLIARy to release Goldman-Sachs transcripts first.

Why can't both be scrutinized the same?

Hopefully the federal investigation will shed light on the email server bs she did. In the mean time can you hold the GOP.. Or hell... Every other candidates to the same standard that you do the blue ties?

Unless there's something legally or morally incriminating, very few. An exception here might be if they reveal Trump to be in bad financial shape, since he's run on the image of a successful businessman.

Trump supports the military through charities such as Wounded Warriors and such. He hold golf tournaments on his courses throughout the US. He's donated millions, and no other candidate can say they support the military as much as him.

Interested voters rely on media to go through returns or go through them on their own? ..rely on media, right?

Lol!

I made a conjecture based on a butthurt OP. I'm the victim tho...

I've been called many things on this forum, but a victim is a first....

Thanks for making me look rational...

I never said you are actually a victim...but you did play the victim card. Those are two different things.

That's what he's wanting proof of via the tax returns. Or was he just pandering.

I've got a dog in that hunt brother. I just don't care if he has donated or not there are plenty other reasons to not vote for him besides that.

Stuff that big should be easily verifiable without tax returns. A lot of charities will list their big donors unless asked not to.

It doesn't matter to hardly anyone. If he does release it, the left will just play class warfare with the numbers and enrich a predetermined narrative. He just go look into a camera, say "I'm rich and everybody knows it" and never mention it again.

Who in their right mind can ignore Whitewater, Cattle futures, the Clinton Global Initiative etc, but have their vote hinge on a tax return they'll never understand?

I find it a tremendous coincidence that today LG starts a "Trump Tax Return Scandal" thread, and that a couple of other forums that I frequent also have Trump tax return threads started today. Who else thinks that LG is a DNC hack, who along with others, is paid to post this crap on various forums after they get their marching orders for the day?

I dunno but how much do they pay and how do I sign up?

Yes and no. jmo but if I were Trump's campaign manager I would tell him to not release his returns, let speculation build that he is hiding something, and then let Hillary shriek during a debate (which she will) that he should release his returns. Then, and only then, should Trump respond that he will release his returns if Hillary will release her transcripts.

When Hillary refuses to do so it will be even more evident that she has something to hide.
