I have to say that I am not really let down by the fact that Gruden isn't coming. I have always thought it was a pipe dream. A nice pipe dream but a pipe dream none the less.

There are a lot of people that are "scared" of Strong because he doesn't have a ton of head coaching experience and I think they have been bitten by coaches with not a lot of head coaching experience. Personally I think Strong is probably the best choice for us because I think he would probably stay for a long time, but I don't know that much about football much less coaching.

He was a great SEC dc and a great SEC recruiter. I think he's a great character guy as well. If i am correct, Louisville was a 2 or 3 win team when he took over. This is his 2nd or 3rd year and they won 10 games and are projected to go to a BCS bowl. He wont make the instant impact that Gruden would, but I think he's better for the long haul.
