Exercise I'm cool with. A needle coming near any joint or bone in my body I'm not. We discussed a cortisone shot today. Ain't happening. We discussed MRI with contrast (which he said was a shot into the shoulder joint itself). Ain't happening. I'll work my muscles till they bleed. But leave my bones and joints out of it. Guess I'm a wuss after all.

Nope. I don't do those either.

sounds like your mri is much more involved. I just laid down and watched the olympics for an hour

have heard cortisone shots work well but aren't the most pleasant experience (never got one though)

Just looked to see if the charlotte ut group meets at the same place as last year for games. Looks like it, looks like uga is leaving and ncsu is in..great, just great. Wva, auburn, Mich state also meet there.

X-rays were good (thank you Lord!). Have an MRI Wednesday morning, then see the doc again Monday afternoon to discuss the results. He said it seems to indicate rotator cuff, but of course you can't diagnose that with just a physical examination. MRI will show if that's what it is, a tear or partial tear, or just inflammation or whatever.

I liked the doc. Even if he is a bammer.

You should have known not to smart off to Jacques :)

Volly, I had similar problems with my shoulder. Couldn't lift my arm above my shoulder or support anything heavy away from my body. Cortisone shot did wonders. That and a few exercises with a rubber strap and I was back to full range of motion in a week. Just take something for pain just before you get the shot and take a nap afterwards.

Cortisone in my feet hurt way worse than my shoulder. And I've had 11 of those. You can handle it. Just don't look.

He told me shoulders are nothing like heels (I worked for a podiatrist and saw the faces of people getting the shots). I call him a liar. :)
