Friends and family salute a fallen hero.
Private First Class Jonathon Hall was killed two weeks ago in Afghanistan when his vehicle was blown up by an improvised explosive device.
On Monday Hall was buried at the Chattanooga National Cemetary with full military honors.

23-Year old Private First Class Jonathon Hall was a combat medic from the 101st Airborne Division.
It's fitting...his family says because Hall was a guy with a generous heart who always wanted to help others.
He was fondly referred to as "doc"Hall by his comrades.

Hall had been in the military for about a year and a half, about 6 weeks of that in Afghanistan.
But in that short amount of time, he received many awards including the bronze star and purple heart.
Hall is originally from Alaska but spent time with his mother and grandparents in the Tennessee Valley
It was Hall's grandfather, in fact, that helped prepare Hall for the Army.
And now his service has inspired his sister to follow suit.
"Him going into the medical field has inspired me...I want to be a nurse...I want to join the Army and do the ICU and help the soldier that are hurt and carry on his legacy," Hall's sister Tristyn Hall told News 12.

Now not only did Hall give his life for his country, he also gave the gift of life to six people through organ donation.

Howdy folks. Rain ruined the day. Nat's field trip was canceled. I did get a good nap in after I took her to school though.:)

Yep, Nat has nap time every day from about 12:15 till 1:30. I tell her all the time she doesn't know how good she has it.
