Man, just got back from the vet and the pup almost needed surgery. He swallowed something that blocked his intestines and was puking everywhere. After seeing the bill I almost had to pay, I really need to look into pet insurance.

On a side note, the vet graduated from UT vet school. He saw the dog's name on his collar (he's named Rocky Top) and started cracking up.

If he has a habit of chewing on stuff, you might. My dog DID have to have that surgery as a pup. Ate a sock, blocked her intestines up, had to open her up to get it out. Expensive for sure. Perhaps Obama will include pets in his UHC.

it was a large part of an old pillowcase (where the seams meet). We got new sheets so we knotted the old one as a chew toy. He passed it about an hour ago and I felt bad for him :p

He will cehew what ever we give him so we're going to look at insurance. The thought of a $3k bill right before our wedding (11/8/08 :whistling:) was not a happy one.

Your not kidding about those vet bills. My sister and her husband put out a lot of money for their Springer Spaniel Ben in his last month of life.(he was the best dog) The vet finally had to put him to sleep, then they had to cremate him. I'm glad to hear your dog is doing ok.
