Thats good! Glad to hear everything is a-ok! There was a tornado here two weekends ago, I was actually gone for the bachelorette party, but luckily it was not in the middle of the city area. This past week I was driving home for lunch and I noticed a funnel looking spiral of clouds very close in distance near my apartments, it didn't look like it was anything, but it was a weird site to see in person rather than those tv shows!

As far as natural disasters go, tornadoes are old hat around here:p Earthquakes are new and exciting.

Seriously, anybody who knows the history of the New Madrid fault would be a little nervous. There was a huge catastrophe in the area in the early 1800s, but not a lot of activity since. There was an earthquake a little smaller than this one about a decade ago, but the potential for another big one still exists.

Oh, and for the record, my dog seemed to know something was happening before it happened, so I guess those stories are true.

He was agitated, acting like he had to go outside, starting about 15 minutes before it hit. Then we quaked, and he was fine.

Yeah well we don't get tornadoes around here. We get the outskirts of hurricanes. Charleston that was the thing growing up though, kind of glad I don't have to deal with that much anymore.

Glad everything is ok....Cotton!

Thanks. You know, looking back on the past few years, Hopkinsville has had a growing gang problem. Last summer we had a drought. This fall and spring we have flooded, and now we've gon an earthquake. All we need is a fire and a riot and we'll be right up there with Los Angeles.

Hurricanes are dangerous things. Drink more than one and there is no telling who you'll go home with!

hey we haven't had a major earthquake or riot in 10 years! :p

You've never had a hurricane? It is the drink that made Pat O's famous in New Orleans. Lemon juice, passion fruit syrup, and a boatload of rum. It will blow your dress right over your head.
