Yesterday we went to the park as a family. It was nice and warm here, so I was wearing loose athletic type shorts. I had my cell phone in my pocket in case of emergency.

When we got back to the house, my son and I were in the driveway waiting for dinner to be ready and I decided to impress him with my jump rope skillz. I had done a few reps to show my daughter earlier and the phone had fallen out of the pocket of my shorts. This time with my son I was smart. I took the phone out of my pocket and sat it on the bumper of my truck while I jumped rope. Dinner time came and we went in and ate.

I got up this morning and was getting myself together for work and my phone was not in its usual spot. It had spent the night on my truck bumper outside. 27 days out of the month, that would really not be a problem, but I picked the night that we get a couple of inches of rain to leave my phone outside. :banghead2:

To follow up: I immediately took my battery off my phone, blow dried it on the low cool setting for 30 min at lunch yesterday, let it sit with the battery off over night. Plugged it up this morning and it is working fine.

My regards to the fine people at Motorola.
