What a 360 degree turn this will be. Weve gone from "born and bred, Winchester-native, bleeds orange, yadda yadda yadda.." to a young gun, west coast guy who comes in and does more firing than Donald Trump.

It seems like maybe, just maybe, we are entering the new world of college football. We were one of the last schools full of good ole boys on the staff, an alumni as head coach etc... Alabama, LSU, Florida, Georgia and Auburn went outside the family and made hires...and Auburn likely will be doing it again soon. It seems that while these teams were using "hired guns" to duke it out on the field, we were using a has-been and his "orange blood" to hopefully pull out a win against the big boys.

For the first time in quite a while, I have hope for the future of our football team. Instead of hoping we can pull one out against Florida, Georgia or LSU...maybe we can get to the point where we are expected to beat them again. This occurred with Fulmer from 1992-2001, but the SEC changed drastically and we were merely hoping for those wins from 2002-2008.

I know that many of you wanted some gigantic, earth-shattering hire. Those dont usually happen:

Nick Saban from Michigan State to LSU
Mark Richt OC @ FSU to UGA
Les Miles Okie State to LSU
Urban Meyer Utah to UF
Jim Tressel from Youngstown State to Ohio State

We have finally entered the 21 Century of College Football. Thank God.

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

I'll take a 180 as well but seeing as how I play darts, 180 is the highest score you can get in one turn
