I honestly think Nico is the future and is very close to the light coming on. That being said uts past time for all the people that were Hating on Joe last year to eat their crow. This year has shown where the real problem was last year. Not the QB. Blockers gotta block and receivers gotta catch. We are seeing the same things we saw last season. Way too many balls coming off fingertips and our QB under constant duress. I dont really blame the receivers as much as the line. But, if they could generate just a tad more separation and find that one step they keep coming up short. Our tackle play is...underwhelming fires need to be lit under certain heralded individuals.

James Pearce is quietly doing himself a lot of favors btw. Showing even with all the attention he can still be disruptive and affect the run game. NFL scouts will notice and the sacks will come. As long as they keep focusing him others will eat and eventually someone is gonne try to block him one on one. Banks is scheming up ways to keep him disruptive though.

Will Brooks was the weak side-lost his depth and never followed the QB progression. This D would be beyond elite with a ball hawk safety. Brooks is steady but too many throws across the middle could be up for grabs

One of the few big mistakes they made. To be fair you gotta give the kid from Florida credit. That was a textbook route. That being said, if you bring a little pressure on Lagway that play likely doesn’t have time to develop. He was rattled, but we gave him too much time. All in all another stellar game by the defense though.

Maybe. I think the Fla QB has wheels, miss a tackle, and he's gone. Just wait until we play Vanderbilt and their slippery as greased moray eel QB.
And if you haven't noticed, time and again, we have apparently trapped QBs behind the LOS only to either miss tackles, or they slip out of our grasp and bite off chunks of yardage. I like blitzes, but we don't know why Banks sometimes doesn't do it. I think I know, but that's what I think, not what I actually know.

We might question a call or few, but yeah, the D has been handing the game to the offense every game so far. And they struggle to score 20+ in league play. SMH.

Awesome! I don’t have a voice this morning and there were people all around me who were much more active than I was. I love seeing our fans like that. I don’t believe the decibels they show at the stadium are real. I would be interested in knowing what the loudest was though.

Some people don’t know how to lay off when we’re on offense though. We were pretty loud the whole game. 😅

That play was on the other safety, not Brooks. Brooks recognized the breakdown and Reyes to come out of his zone to help

Looks like they were running a 2 deep zone. Both Turrentine and Brooks were out of position with Brooks drifting way out of position. The only thing you can't give up in that call is a deep middle shot -#2 got turned around, Brooks -well I'm not sure what he was doing there. It looks like he had everything deep from his half of the goal post while #2 had the other. That play threw over Brooks into his zone and under #2 . Just bad safety play
