I can't afford to buy you a trashcan that has all working parts entirely made out of 1/4" plastic so that it simply breaks again when you try to open it. Did you save the piece? Superglue is the answer.

I've had that trashcan for years, never one failure.


Don't sweat it, I have replaced it with a more simple trashcan, for the princely sum of $11.92 at Wal-Mart. Not as nice as the old one but it works just fine.
