Yeah Reagan started something for land lines after the Bells were broken up...then GWB did the same for cell phones.

The program is paid for by telecommunications companies through the nonprofit Universal Service Administrative Company, not through taxpayer revenue.

Not supporting either candidate but the tax laws are designed to promote a growing economy. Every loophole given to the rich supports this growth and prevents the wealthy from sitting on their dough. Based on the current laws we should applaud people who take all of the deductions. Its a stupid system but works to some degree. Easier to just have a flat tax and no deductions.

Not correct to put laws in place and then condemn those who use them. I personally take every deduction I can legally take therefore can't throw stones at others.

I didn't say it worked but imagine the economy if the rich did not keep their money moving similar to Russia. Just saying its unfair to throw stones at a person for using the tax laws to his advantage. What would happen if corporations stopped reducing their tax liability and just paid their fare share? I guess the stockholders would find a new CEO pretty quick. Trump has said the tax laws need to be changed but you won't find any Democrat saying the same.
