The "Thank You" Fulmer thread...

Sorry it had to come to this. But I think it was necessary. Coach Fulmer, thanks for you dedication, and thanks for the 150 wins and the National Championship.

God Bless

I have a pretty heavy heart right now, and just wanted to get it off my chest. I am one who remained supportive of CPF for a long time. This season, I gradually came to feel that perhaps it was time for a change. I wanted to be wrong.

Like many others who have posted, CPF is the only coach that has been on the sidelines since I have been following UT football. Even though I came to believe that he needed to step aside, I still found myself trying, rather unsuccessfully, to hold back the tears as he spoke today. There is no doubt of his love for the University that he poured so much of his life into. As disappointing as it has been for the UT fans to see our team lose, I know that Coach Fulmer wanted to win just as badly. And this season should never take away all that he has accomplished....the SECEast Championships, the Nat. Championship, and all the great wins that he has brought this program.

I hope that, no matter what our opinions may have been, that we all realize that we were truly blessed to have had him. He is a good man, and I still believe, a great coach. Thanks for everything, Coach! You will be missed.

Thanks coach, it's been a great ride, too bad things couldn't have ended on a better note, but everything you have done and given of yourself to the school and program is nothing less than great.

Same here it was hard for him to do it. I wish him nothing but the best. And hope stays to have something to do with UT.

THANKS CPF!!!!!:clapping:

Love ya Coach!! Thanks for the memories. I'll never forget being in Tempe with you counting down those last 30 seconds.

Despite what has gone on as of late, I can't help but to be thankful for what you have done for this program. Phil, I thank you for your service to this institution, program and this state. Best wishes to you and yours.

Thank you Coach Fulmer for all the years of great Tennessee football.
You will be missed!
Good luck with whatever you choose to do.
This is truly a sad day in Tennessee football.

Thanks Coach, Volunteer through and through. Hope he can stay on in some form at the University. Times may be rough but we will certainly remember the good times. Go Vols!

Just gotta say thanks for the memories Coach. I am 28 years old, bleed orange all 28 as well, and have only been around to see two coaches wearing Orange and White. I respect both of them. But hopefully Fulmer's replacement will bring brighter days just the same as Fulmer did in 92. Both Coaches will always be Volunteers in my book.

Go Vols!!!

Coach Fulmer has been coaching there for longer than I have been alive. I've alwys looked up to him and Its gonna be a weird feeling for me not seeing him on the sidelines anymore. I know him leaving is the right thing to do, but it still makes me sad to see him go. Thanks coach for the memories! GO VOLS!

Thank you Phil. While VN was ready for your rear to be out the door, you have done many and great things for the University of Tennessee. What you've done is very classy, and you will gain a lot of respect for doing this.

Thank you again Phil and Go Vols!!
