Thank you very much Phillip Fulmer! You led us through a decade of dominance, SEC championships and title games, bowl victories, over 150 Saturdays of joy in the fall and winter, a national title, and some of our greatest players in the school's history. You brought UT back to national prominance and put a spotlight on Knoxville in the eyes of the college football nation. Your players loved you and the fans did too. You gave us many great games that we still reminesce and tell stories about to both our firends and those too young to have seen them. You led us into battle countless times against the dreaded Crimson Tide and not only were able to come back victorious, but end their long streak against us and swing the series in our favor. Though your career may not have ended on the bright spot you had hoped, you were always a classy coach and a great representation of the University and it's ideals, regardless of what good or bad may have happened on or off the field, and helped set a standard for our coaches.
But above all, you were a good man: the kinda guy mothers loved their sons to play for and fans loved to see on the sidelines.
Though the times have changed and we must move apart, we were made all the better for having the interactions we had with you. You sir truly did bleed orange and loved the university with all your being.
You have and always will be one of Tennessee's boys; one of her beloved sons. You truly did give your ALL for Tennessee. Go vols. Best of luck to you in the future wherever life takes you. You will be missed. :cray:
