The tenure of Butch has likely been shortened.

When do you think Butch will be asked to leave?

For those who voted 1-2 more years or “as long as he wants”, I’d like to hear why you think that. What over the past 4+ years indicates the next 1-2 will be any better?

Because that's not the way UT admin rolls. Even if he only wins 7 games,(which is looking very possible) he'll be safe. Just look at the past hires and see the history of how they work. We will not get a "name" coach either, if a change is made.

Don’t underestimate Currie.

It should be after he loses another game to SCe.

We're staring down the reality of losing the next 4 games in a row...

Those folks quoting 3-1 as a reason for optimism sound more like CBJ's personal statistical town criers who keep quoting that we're 18-5 over our last 23 games...

While completely IGNORING that we are 4-5 in our last 9 SEC games....:salute:

IF a move is made, I think it'd be after the season. Barring a disaster of course (losing to SC and Vandy again)

CBJ just needs to make one more hire...a game day coach. CBJ can sit in the booth with the OC & DC. This strategy would produce at least 2 more victories a season.

That's what I think, but if he doesn't make some big progress quick he has a 6 win team and the decision while IT may not be public will be made before then.

Even if you get about 500 votes in this poll, what do you think it shows out of the many thousand vol fans?

My guess is that if this poll was done 30 days ago, it would look a LOT different. Pretty much a 31%/31%/31% draw on the first 3 options. Tells me that we have less CBJ Koolaid drinkers today.

SC doesn't look very good. We win that one. KY is a toss up.

Significant upset to beat UGA and monumental upset to beat allahbama.

A poll for which anyone can participate.........yea, that is integrity at its best.......wow! some of you are so gullible......it borders on pathetic and ignorant.

My guess is that you took a knee during the National Anthem at Shields Watkins on Saturday???

Totally agree with this call and CBJ will have opportunity to do so at his next stop

I think he's had enough. If he can win enough to get out he will. If he's pissed off enough people to get fired, there's a $10mil parting gift for him.

End of the season. I can't see this team winning more than 3 more games. The decision of who is the replacement needs to be progressing now, though. If $ is king, it could be after next year's season and if that holds then God help everyone. IDK if this administration and big $ boosters have any idea of the Volunteer heritage. And I don't have faith that they will do what is right with the athletics or academic programs. I really hope I am wrong.

Currie likely lines someone up. Let's Butch finish out the season. Probably tells him on the side to start looking for a job.

I hate it. I do. I wish we could just flip the tables and get it done. But I mean...Butch has put a lot of effort into Tennessee for us to just bust the glass mid-season.

I think having 60 days to line up a new coach, let the new guy beat the bushes and assemble his new staff. Let Butch finish out his tenure respectfully. Line up a new job. I think that's the best way to handle the situation.

Plus if we promote a new interim guy....that could turn out like LSU. I didn't think so at first...but now that I have settled down and thought of it....that's a real possibility. They will point to Phil Fulmer taking over for Johnny Majors. Etc. lolol. Nah. I don't want that. This needs to be a transition.

It's sad. I hope i'm wrong and I don't want this to happen..but I can easily see us losing to Georgia (very probable..and maybe BIG)..Bama (a certainty...it's not even debatable..there is literally no chance in hell we win that game)...Vandy...Kentucky (who played Florida closer than we did)...South Carolina (Butch never beats Muschamp) LSU...much stronger team....we may be looking at 5-7 to be optimistic , and that is simply not acceptable for UT. I feel bad for everyone involved.

I hope by some miracle Butch gets this perpetually injured and under performing team to finish strong. I really do.

Unfortunately, because I like Butch, his continued inability to coach our talented players appears "on the field" looks to be catching up to him.

When do you think Butch will be asked to leave the program?

Vandy got the last coach canned. Could happen again
