What do yall think of this video? I think he was spot on but he definitely reached with Tennessee beating UGA. We dont have the horses for them yet.
This is a critical season. I don't buy the 6-6 record predictions either. If Pruitt is as great as many feel, me included, we will have a 8-11 win season this year and set us up for a SEC Championship next year as we play Miss St, Mizz, Vandy and USC who will all have new QBs and a weak OOC schedule. Big year this season with a young team will be a lightning rod for next year!
It's not unrealistic. Smith, Hall, Jennings, Bituli, Kirkland, Warrior, Wood, Calloway, Alontae are all next level players, 2 deep is loaded with size and length, strength and speed remain to be seen. Only 2 teams on our schedule this year have better rated talent. We do play several good experienced QBs this year and OL and DL depth is a huge concern so yes a 6-6 record would probably be ok for our fanbase because of these concerns. If our main guys stay healthy and Pruitt is as good as many think I really believe we could have a breakout season this year and be favored in all but 2 games next season as we will have an experienced line, experienced qb, experienced rbs, experienced WRs, the best lb and safety groups in the league. Great coaching makes a huge difference and many just have a feeling that Pruitt is the next great one for Tn. He feels right, has done everything right so far and has said that we are showing up to win. I believe him, sad you don't! Our schedule this season is being blown out of proportion as we only play 4 ranked teams and I suspect that WVU will drop from the rankings after Saturday.Lol. So yet another Vol fan setting unrealistic expectations for Pruitt. By saying this, you are already calling for his head. Nicely done.

I don't mean that at all. I'm a huge fan of Pruitt and believe he will be successful at Tn for a long time. If he's great, and I think he will be, then we have enough talent to win this season and be set up perfectly for next year as we will have a weak schedule and will return most of our 2 deep along with a top 10 class and surely 2-4 contributing transfers. The next 2 seasons could be really good for a change I feel. Hate that you don't feel the same. All the guys you listed are nect level players? Ok I guess thats why all those guys are on the first and second team all SEC right? Pruitt may very well be great but he is a first time HC that has replaced an entire coaching staff. He is incorporating new schemes on both sides of the ball. That takes time. Do we have talent? Yes. But Pruitt has the daunting task of not only coaching these guys up but coaching the loser attitude that Butch instilled.
As far as the schedule goes, there is really no logical way to pick us beating UF or Vandy. UF just owns us in football. Vandy has a 2 year winning streak. WV is likely going to run roughshod over us. This year a 6-6 record is acceptable. If you think going 6-6 means Pruitt isnt the guy, then I dont know what to tell you.
